Great location very close to the efteling, 15 minute drive from tilburg. The room was quite large but a bit dated, not all maintenance has been done properly. A communal area with coffee machine would be great as not to go to the hotel across the street for that. Note that check in is also at the other hotel across the street. Room was a little cold as it just had a tiny heater.

POSITIVES: * Great location. You can walk out the door of the hotel and be walking into Efteling 11 minutes later. * Comfortable bed. * Spotlessly clean. * You can get a free breakfast if you don't need your room made up. NEGATIVES: * No restaurant or reception staff in this building; you had to walk down the block to another hotel for any services. Not a big deal, but kind of a pain on a rainy Dutch day when you've been walking around a theme park all day. * No fridges in the room. The website says that reception can put things in their fridge for you -- but as mentioned above, that means walking down the block to get your stuff. * No kettle in the room, forcing you to walk down the block and then pay 2 euros for coffee or tea in the other building's lobby if you want it. * Charmless, dorm-like building. * Hotel restaurant was fine but a little overpriced for the quality * No fruits or vegetables at the breakfast. * The pillows had been through the laundry too many times and were falling apart. I appreciate that they keep the pillows clean but it's time to replace them. THINGS THAT ARE PROBABLY FINE FOR A DUTCH PERSON BUT BOTHERED ME * The bed is the tallest I've seen in a hotel and had an awkwardly placed wooden rim. I still have a bruise on my calf from all the times I banged my leg trying to climb in. That said, although I am above average height for an Englishman, I am below average height for a Dutchman. Perhaps this was a good bed height for their tall Dutch clientele. * The hotel restaurant refused to give me tap water, forcing me to buy bottled water if I wanted something to drink. I gather this is not uncommon in Dutch restaurants but I was gobsmacked; I've never been refused a glass of water in a restaurant anywhere else in the world. * The hotel restaurant takes various Dutch bankcards but not Visa or Mastercard. Even paying in cash was a bit of a process because they don't have a cash register on hand. OVERALL Given the price and proximity to Efteling, I'd still consider it for a future stay, but if I can find a hotel with better amenities, I'd be willing to pay a little more per night.

The beds were very soft and the place was nice and clean. Gardens slightly neglected but the breakfast was fantastic at the other building. The sleeping quarters building needs a bit attention but overall it was great for the price.... And very close to de Efteling...

It was great. I really enjoyed the location. The is fine, no need in larger room. In reception we were told that their service includes cleaning the room and we can give it up. We have got free breakfast instead of cleaning.

Excellent location close to Efteling, reasonable price for the room, lovely amenities connected to the nearby guesthouse hotel. Would definitely recommend for a solo traveler like I was, and given the size of the family rooms, i imagine it would be a good fit for them as well

Stayed for 2 nights to visit Eftelling park, which is an easy 15 minute walk to the entrance gate. The hotel is associated the the Guesthouse Hotel Kaatsheuvel, which is clearly better accommodation and is where breakfast is taken and an evening meal possible. The room was quite nice, and clean but very small. We went for the room with 2 pull out beds beneath the main bed so we expected a little bit of a big room to accommodate this but it wasn't to be. Breakfast was good but quite expensive for what was available. Would probably look for a different hotel if we return to Kaatsheuvel.

My and my friend booked this hotel in combination with the Eftelingpackage and tbh, just went with what was cheapest. And for that I can't exactly complain. It was clean, it's close to the park, everything you need is around the corner etc. BUT. It was weird to have no stuff in the house, as everything is operated from the hotel next to De Kroon. Also, I am not 100% convinced that your luggage is safe in the luggage room, the staff doesn't seem to check if you closed the room properly, not to mention that they didn't even check if we're actually hotel guests when we wanted to pick up our luggage. We could have been anybody. Luckily for us, we had a room for 4 people, so we had enough space for us, but the pure thought of sharing the room with more people is giving me nightmares, especially as the window is suuuper small. With 32° celsius during the day, I had extreme trouble falling asleep. The air was just horrible, with more people in our room I would have just died. I realized through the online check-out, that we got charged breakfast for both days. I admit that I could have realized that while paying, but I didn't do the math at that point, I was busy with just arriving there. Luckily I realized that early enough to make use of that, tho I advise people staying there to just get breakfast in Albert Heijn just around the corner and eat in the hotel lobby of de Kroon. The hotel breakfast was okay but a tad expensive for what you get. I would do it again as I love Efteling very much, but I know that non-Fans might have their trouble here.

We had 2 double rooms and the double room for the kids was as hot as an oven. The fan didn’t work well, it was on its lowest speed...you couldn’t change the speed. I think it’s wise to make sure that your rooms are cool for your guests to sleep and relax after a hot day out by the Efteling when you have temperatures above the 30 degrees. We found long hairs in the shower and on the beds… the beds where too soft for the body, had terrible body pains. It was a nightmare in the morning to find a free table in the restaurant because it was so busy

We stayed for 2 nights so that we could visit the theme park Efteling. The hotel has great facilities and lovely staff. We stayed in the guest house part and the room was a lovely size with the added bonus of a private patio to use. The main hotel on the other side of the car park was a short walk for the main amenities Would definitely stay again
