I really liked the hotel! I stayed at the youth part and it was a nice experience! The hotel is very clean, the beds are comfortable and the room have individual lockers! The breakfast is good for a hostel and it's little additional cost! The location is nice, not far from the centre and right in front of Van Gogh...

Enjoyed my stay. Clean, quiet and comfortable room. Across the street from the Van Gogh and Rijksmuseum. Tram near hotel goes to and from the airport which I would recommend rather than going through Central Station. If you are looking to be close to Red Light and Central Station, it's about a 30 minute walk or one tram ride away....

The hostel is perfectly located, just across from the Van Gogh museum. Walking distance to everything. I booked an 8 bed room with ensuite bathroom on the 4th floor (there is an elevator) and it was comfy enough: 4 bunk beds each has a charging outlet, a light and one safe/person. There was a TV in the room though I...

The hotel/hostel is situated near the Van Gogh and Stedelijk museums, which is also near the IAMSTERDAM signage. The hotel is in a particularly quiet area but is close to trams which are easily accessible from most places. The ticket was approx 24 euros for two days and it was a life saver. The hostel is quiet, therefore I wouldn't...

Really nice and comfy place. We were staying in a 6 bed private room . It had a private bathroom ad well. Beds were really comfy. Breakfast is 10 euros but quite a good spread. It is 5 minutes walk from Van gogh museum .there is tram station just a quick walk away. Highly reccomanded for backpackers

Stayed here with friends and thought it was great value for money. Our four bed was clean, spacious, bathroom was clean, shower was bigger than expected, great location opposite van gogh museum with tram stops just 2 minutes away! Free wifi access and luggage storage facilities really came in useful after we had checked out, didn't try the breakfast so...

The staff is very nice but there is one guy, who seems to be the manager who is absolutely terrible. We came to have nice time, to be peaceful and this guy is just full of anger and disrepectul with customers and employees. He was so so so so stressfull because of the way he talks to us, we didn't...

Rooms are like converted hotel rooms. Our 6-bed dorm was not too spacious but it was comfortable, and the bathroom was fabulous - massive shower, and plush sink. Great location in the heart of the museum quarter, a stone's throw from the Rijksmuseum and Vondelpark, and on several tram lines. My only reservation was what can only be described as...

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
