This is a great hotel in a quiet area of Amsterdam; public transportation is just off the block and a grocery store is just down the road. Room size is great and it serves as a great base to explore the city. The only downside is that the wifi is sometimes not very reliable. However, the staffs are extremely friendly...

My partner and I stayed at the Allure from the 20th of April 2014 until the 25th (five nights/four days), and had chosen it after quite an exhaustive search a few weeks earlier. The reviews on this site were very positive (some of the best I’d read) and I had looked at around forty other places before settling for this...

Good location, a walk away from the city centre. Clean rooms, very nice and helpful staff, very good value for money. Breakfast with a reasonable number of options. The best surprise I had was after leaving the hotel, when, at the airport I realised I had forgotten my phone in the hotel room and the hotel staff was kind enough...

I slept for only one night in this hotel, however it was great experience. The staff are really nice and i really love the room, but unfortunately the location is not that close from the center. And it was not that expensive i spent 63 euro per night include wifi (4 euro)

We've stayed in Amsterdam for 5 days and found this hotel very comfortable for many reasons: its position is great (very close to the city centre - it's easy to walk till there - and linked to it by many buses and trams) and the neighbourhood is very quiet; the rooms are perfect for two people, quite small for three...

Went to Amsterdam on a birthday celebration (Lads Only) the hotel was spot on! Out of the centre of the city but within walking distance and near an underground station. Rooms were very clean and modern, it was quiet at night and the staff were very helpful.

This was a really great hotel, and exceptionally good value for the price. I traveled with two friends, for a girls' weekend away, and we were looking for a nice, well-located hotel in Amsterdam that wasn't too dear. The Hotel Allure ticked every box. Reception staff were very helpful and the hotel itself is near a main tram line and...

Staying in Plantage & the East

Neighbourhood Profile
Plantage & the East
The eastern edge of central Amsterdam provides visitors with the chance to imagine the city that Rembrandt called home (and to tour his historic house) while shopping like the thriftiest of locals at Waterlooplein’s massive flea market, or even enjoying a craft beer beside the tallest wooden windmill in The Netherlands. This verdant, serene, and stately part of town is home to Artis Royal Zoo, one of Europe’s oldest (and still best kept) zoos, and Hortus Botanicus, one of the oldest botanical gardens in the world. It's also an ideal setting for the Dutch outpost of St Petersburg’s Hermitage.
