I highly recommend Vondelpark Suites. The location is perfect, not too far from the center of things but quiet and not in the midst of the hubbub. The tram number 1, half a block away, takes you in just a few minutes to the heart of the city. The park itself, half a block away, is lovely, with ponds and...

Located on a quiet street at the entrance to Vondelpark. There are two rooms to choose from. I took both for my wife and myself and our two adult sons. Comfortable, completely equipped and twice the size of your average hotel room. Every morning Ms.Sprangers brings a complete breakfast of juice, yogurt, bread, cold meat, cheese and cereal. The park is 5 minutes away and...

We stayed in the Suites for 2 nights in May during the wonderful tulip festival. The location, the service from owner was wonderful. She accommodated my gluten free needs for breakfast (which was excellent) & helped us with directions and any information that was needed. If you have issues with stairs then this is not the place for you, but...

Location - We were looking for a bed & breakfast close to main tram lines, able to accommodate 5 adults and we found it. The #1 tram is located right near the b&b making it a 15 minutes tram ride to the city center. The b&b is located on a quiet residential street which neighbors Vondelpark, it was perfect to...

Stayed for 7 nights with a young family. 4 beds in a room which were comfortable, but not much room to do anything else. However, you would not stay in your room if you are in amsterdam for a week. Very near the tram, so you would be in the city centre in 15 minutes. Supermarket very near, kebab and...

This Bed & Breakfast is a terrific deal if you want to relax, and enjoy more of Amsterdam than the tourist sections along the Damrak. The house has three stories, with the two guest rooms on the second floor - the host family on the first & third. You come & go as you like, and the location is literally...

The park nearby was wonderful but the facilities are not all they are cracked up to be. We were hoping for a romantic get away, this was far from it. Breakfast was also a rip off but we didn't have high expectations for that either.

Unfortunately someone else also calles him or herself Vondelpark Suites. Seeing that I do not recognize your name I fear you stayed in the other B&B. If you visit Amsterdam again I can assure you that with us you will find you get great value for money. To other travellers: We are not listed on bookings or Venere, try Avvie...

I was a member of a small group of friends that went to Amsterdam on the first week of our easter vacations (26 March to 2 April). After a long journey in planes and airports we just wanted to have "the place" where we could rest. Well the rooms are just great! Better than much hotels nearby, all the 6...

A lovely and spacious studio room with en suite shower room + lots of towels. We stayed with my young daughter. We had two double beds and there was plenty of space. DVDs, guidebooks, colouring books were available for our use. The room (garden side) was well laid out and furnished - mostly IKEA furnishings. Breakfasts were good. Although do...

Stayed at Vondelpark Suites in mid-April on the last leg of a trip with my parents. Owned by Els Spranger, her directions were perfect and this was the easiest of our three hotels to find. She showed us to our room, up the steep flight of small stairs that Amsterdam is known for, and it was a wonderful surprise. The...

“The suite available at the At the Vondelpark is very well situated in a terrific location with easy access to the main museums in Amsterdam, close to great shopping and ideal for people who want a very comfortable suite and wish to do their own breakfasts. It also backs on to a wonderful large park, hence, the name.”

“If you plan to visit in the heat of summer we would recommend the east room - even with the fan blowing the west room was rather like a sauna in the mid to late afternoon!”
Anne1294, 7 Sep 2013 | Read review
“The east or street side room is better in hot weather because it is in the shade in the afternoon. Also the east room has double doors which open onto a tiny balcony which provides excellent air flow in the warm weather. It is on a very quiet street and it is only marginally more noisy that the one in the back (west).”
