There’s a wide river/canal used for canoeing with woods and running/walking/cycling opportunities and also a pleasant cafe plus tram and bus stops for the centre of Amsterdam. We didn’t do sight seeing from this hotel so I’m afraid I can’t advise you about that.

There is a bus stop within a five minute walk from the hotel and the bus will drop you into town for around 5 euro return. Remember to keep your ticket.
The journey takes around half an hour
