I stayed at Kuwadro with my partner for a couple of days, we found that the location was perfect as we could easily walk or take a boat trip to many of the attractions that had been recommended to us. We also thought that the B&B was extremely clean and we enjoyed the self serve breakfast facilities being able to... More

I booked a room in Kuwadro because I wanted something different to the normal hotels. It was a great choice. It was a bit difficult to find at first because there are no obvious signs outside, but Goran called me while on my way to check if I were finding my way and quickly explained how to find it. It... The place is very centric, clean, tidy and enormous breakfast. Goran was very attended with us, explained a lot of places we could go.and he changes little things for breakfast for not being repetitive. Bedroom with balcon in, was lovely, but the only problem is that there is noise from downstairs terrace, but it is closed at 11:00pm. After that... More

Johnny was very helpful...he gave us great information about the local sites and restaurants. The apartment is modern and beautiful, and it is kept incredibly clean. Location was perfect, quick walk to train station and sites. Loved the balcony in our bedroom and full kitchen. This is the only place I would consider staying if I go to Amsterdam again.

Perfect for two couples staying together, me and my sister went with our boyfriends and the B&B made our stay extra special. The pictures do not do it justice, the main bedroom is huge and the whole apartment is light and airy. The second bedroom is a little smaller but the balcony and the cool design makes up for it.... This place is really amazing. It feels like home and is right in the middle of everything. Goran and Johnny's place is immaculately clean, had all the amenities you need and more, and is extremely comfortable. And it is so nice to have a full kitchen waiting for you. Additionally, Goran's artwork--displayed throughout the flat--is quite amazing. I stayed for... More

We stayed at Kuwadro Bed and Breakfast on the first week of our first Euro trip. We absolutely loved how they Johnny and Goran were so attentive and organized (easy to talk to about booking, gave us a briefing about amsterdam and provided us with a map and recommendations). The apartment is so well kept and facilitated. It is also... More

My partner had never been to Amsterdam before , so based on the reviews here we booked one of the two rooms here - it did not disappoint. We got a really warm welcome from Goran, who answered all our questions about the city! The self service breakfast was great - to be honest it is like renting a fully... More

Having never been to Amsterdam (and refusing point blank to stay in a hostel/budget hotel like my husband had during his past trips) we were thrilled to discover Kuwadro and even more thrilled to see the great reviews. Online booking process was beyond smooth - we booked out the whole apartment as we needed two double rooms (due to there... More

Stayed at Kuwadro for 4 nights. Goran & Johnny were just the best - very welcoming & down to earth! The room is immaculate as is the apartment. The breakfast was self service, which suited us. You get used to the stairs! We stayed in the room to the right next to kitchen area. I would recommend asking for the... More

Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighbourhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
