Because I booked late and it was the easter weekend, prices were extremely high (which is understandable). If I had paid standard hostel price for the room it would have been okay. I paid €390 for 3 nights in a four bed mixed dorm. It's up three winding spiral staircases - would not recommend for anyone who was of poor...

I've done a lot of travelling around Europe and have made use of hostels in some very remote areas from Slovenia to Scotland, and this is by far the worst I've ever experienced. The facilities are at least fairly clean, and the beds were pre-made. The ensuite bathroom was basically a cupboard with a shower and toilet, but it serves...

My friend and I decided to go on a citytrip right before classes started. We chose Amsterdam as our destination, because it is not too far, there are lots of things to do and a lot of cheap hostels as well. Because it was a bit last minute, we didn't have much choice because of the limited availabilities. We chose...

I stayed in room 20 during my stay, the top floor! The room faced the back and was very quiet. The bathrooms were clean, which is always a lovely touch! The sheets and pillow cases were clean, but the duvets looked a bit grungy. This will be your average hostel stay. The staff are very helpful with directions and any...

Although it's situated in the center of the action, I've realized this hostel is ideal for those who don't wish to stay long in their rooms - unless you need to sleep. If you intend to spend long hours outdoors and come back to just sleep, Hostel Orfeo is "fine" to say the least. The stairs are very narrow and...

Good hostel right in the middle of the city center. Staff was very friendly and relaxed, as well as the travellers staying in the hostel. However, hostel atmosphere is rather individualistic so don't expect a lot of interaction with other guests, but I guess this is to be expected for a hostel right in the middle of the center. Breakfast...

The rooms are not up to standard, location is very good, very basics nothing much, it's good for student. The rooms needs refurbishment you have to pay for towels. Deposits for keys, the bed sheets are off white and smelly. If the owner can re do the place it will be good attraction as per location. I could not believe...

first of all, you can only pay with cash. you are given to key to your room. inside the stairwell you get hit by the strong smell of chlorine and the damp air of an sauna. when your in the room (which is the worst part) you see beds and nothing more. it seriously looks like concentration camp with the...

Great location, good value for your money. Stuff was friendly and the atmosphere is fine. very basic breakfast but you can't expect 5 stars breakfast for this price. Amsterdam is so cool so save you just need a place to put your head and the beds are OK.

We choose a private room for 2 and the room has bunk bed. Its not big, but I think Amsterdam its not much different than that! And the toilet hasnt the best one, doesn't have separation between the toilet seat and shower. Despite it was expensive, was one of the cheapest one that I found. Its good located, really close...
