Lovely quiet hotel in a perfect location. Your staff were friendly and helpful. We couldn't have asked for more! The jacuzzi bath was a real bonus, as were the bathrobes! The availability of 'real' coffee in the room was most welcome. We will definitely return.

Welcoming boutique hotel, two minutes from the Van Gogh. Atmosphere was relaxed and unstuffy and the staff could not have been more friendly or helpful. On a quiet street despite its superb location. Excellent access to the No. 197 airport shuttle bus and trams - they're at the end of the street.

stayed 4 nights here. Perfect spot in the museum district and easy to get trams (or walk) into town. Staff were lovely, very knowledgable and obliging, even the guy cleaning the rooms who we kept bumping into. Overall, cannot fault.

We had excellent service on our arrival with friendly staff. Shown to our room which was an upgrade. Room 90 has a Jacuzzi bath which is excellent after a hard day of walking and sight seeing. Comfortable beds. Free safe in room. Breakfast provided yoghurt, fruit, cereals, continental cheese and meats as well as bacon, scrambled egg, beans and boiled...

We loved this hotel. Location is fabulous, staff superb, rooms comfy. My one suggestion and warning is that the in-room personal care items (shampoo etc) are not what one expects to find. There was one large bottle of hand soap, and one large bottle of combo body wash/shampoo. My 17-year-old daughter had a panic attack. Otherwise, wonderful.

Our stay was A+ from start to finish. We've never had a better hotel experience. The staff was extraordinarily helpful. The room was very clean, quiet and well appointed. And the hotel is in a great location – very close to museums, Leidseplein, and tram/bus stops.

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
