Centrally located by the Amstel canal, this is the third time I have stayed here, twice this year.Staff courteous and helpful.Got a fee upgrade this time to room with a canal view.Rooms clean, although I did notice comments about 'tired' carpets'.excellent location by Rembrandt Square, most major tourist sights are walkable.Piano bar next door open until 5am if you fancy a late one.

Carpets in room need a good shampoo otherwise a good clean hotel with comfy beds. Nice location on a canal-side. Rooms at back very quiet. Couple of nice pubs at the corner. Handy for trams , walk-able to lots of attractions. Plenty for breakfast. Minus point for pay to view TV , expensive. Staff attentive and multi-lingual of course.

This hotel needs to get its act together. Just one of the following things would have been bad enough, but all of them together was unacceptable for a hotel with a four star rating: 1. Glass bathroom doors with gaps around all sides. In addition to no privacy, the room is always damp. 2. Stained carpets that also did not...

This is about a 15 minute walk from central station (or catch the no. 4 tram to the back of the hotel in Rembrandtplein. Once at the hotel it's well located to access both the traditional tourist sights around the Dam and Red Light District but also allows exploring a little further afield. We didn't take breakfast at the hotel...

Was a nice place to stay, clean and very central, could walk everywhere from here. The only thing was the room was very small and the bathroom was a bit annoying as the shower curtain didn't cover the shower part so bathroom was all wet after. Breakfast was a continental buffet and was average but plenty there.

I stayed with my wife for a long weekend in November. Hotel location cannot be faulted. Close to all the sights, decent choice of restaurants and bars nearby and all modes of public transport within 2 minutes walk. Service was friendly and efficient. Room was clean and comfortable with plenty of space for a 3 day stay. Not sure what...

This hotel is split into two parts which are internally connected but with a reception for each. The Hampshire and the Eden, the website appears to show the rooms in the Hampshire (the entrance nearer to Rembrantsplein) The Hampshire is excellent with good double rooms and modern décor. By contrast the Eden (entrance on the Amstel) is not as well...

I stayed at the Eden hotel for a long weekend with a group of friends. There were 3 couples staying and two of us booked at the Eden and one left it quite late and the price had changed so booked at a 4* hotel around the corner – The Hampshire. To our surprise it was all the same hotel....

Nothing was too much trouble for the desk staff and the 2 guys on the Concierge desk. We were well looked after with taxis, help with luggage and tickets for main attractions and any questions we had. What a difference the concierges made. We arrived after a difficult landing at Schipol Airport in the St Jude storm, plus train tracks...

I stayed here in Amsterdam for three days early in October. The hotel is centrally located, and it is easy to get around the city as a result of the convenient tram/bus transportation. While the room was very small, it was enough for one person not spending much time in the room anyway. Also, the bed was very comfortable and...
