I stayed here for a few days 10 days ago and was really pleased. It was cold and then it snowed so this was the best hotel be booked into. It's a 2-minute walk from Centraal Station and also the city trams. My room on the 8th floor looked to train station's platforms. With the windows shut, I cannot hear...

Being in the central of Amsterdam right besides Amsterdam Centraal, this hotel provides cleanliness, good service/friendly staff and has an amazing location with everything in reach only lacks space for staying in the hotel room. I booked a double bed room with a city view which was of no use honestly. The view is useless and please do not pay...

Dear Zulkarnain Mush... Q, Thank you very much for your review on Tripadvisor. I'm happy to hear you appreciated our central location, the cleanliness, the breakfast and the assistance of our staff. The size of the rooms and bathrooms is something we can't change. There's so much to explore right at our doorstep that it would almost be a waste...

Great price and great location in Amsterdam. Walking distance to the Centraal station and to a number of attractions. Nice, friendly people at the front desk. Breakfast was tasty and fresh, even if a tad expensive. Only downside, for which I took off 1 point, is that the room is too small. Just know that going in and don't expect...

Stayed here 2 nights when in Amsterdam on business. Great location next to Central station, you can catch a tram or train to almost anywhere. The hotel sells tram passes and can help you figure out how to get around. The public transit in Amsterdam is very efficient, timely and convenient once you understand how it works. We were on...

We stayed at The Ibis for one night just after Xmas. Were able to get into room quite early in day. We had read reviews that the rooms were very small but it was perfectly adequate for a short stay. Room was clean and bed comfortable. Our room was on the first floor at the front of hotel. Breakfast was...

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
