Recently stayed here and mostly everything was ok. The room was clean and bed was fine although it was a bit of a pain to get to as you need to use to sete of elevators for some rooms. Breakfast was good and had everything...More
I stayed at the Ibis for one night towards the end of July 2015.
Firstly, the positives: the hotel is right next to Centraal station, which makes the place easier to locate. The room, although quite basic, was of a good size and the bed...More
Myself and my partner recently stayed here. It wasn't the cheapest hotel (but reasonable for the location) to stay at but was definitely well placed, right next to the station and right in the middle of central Amsterdam. Knowing how good the tram links are...More
The only good thing about the hotel was the location, it is near to the Amsterdam Central Station and you can take the train and tram easily. Also nice touristic areas are at a walking distance.
Check in was quick and the staff was good....More
Small room, not so clean and a tiny, almost unusable bathroom. But the worst thing was the bed, actually 2 single beds that wouldn't stay together.
As a good thing, breakfast was good and served until 12:30 and the location af the hotel, next to...More

Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring
hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.

Yes we did all them things in question and with the train and tram station being a 2 min walk from the hotel it's ideal! I would advise that when you land and walk out the airport to buy a 3 day train tram and bus pass it's about €28 but well worth it. We walked to the ice bar and Anne Frank's house but got the tram back cause we did a lot of walking! Also book tickets for Anne Frank's house online as when we walked out of it the people that didn't book was queuing for about 1 hour!! Crazy!
