Had an overnight in Amsterdam before a flight home. The IBIS is ideal just a stones throw from the central station, you can't get more central than that! Bit of background noise from the trains but not much trouble, more noise from the guests than the trains. Now this is not 5 star luxury, but nor is the price. So...

Great location, easy walking distance to the city and Amsterdam Centraal train station is right next door. Rooms are small but very clean (which is fine since we were out exploring the city and only sleeping there). We had no issue with train noise (didn't really notice any - location of our room may have helped). staff very friendly, and...

Well placed in the hub of Amsterdam. Well priced. Clean tidy and new. Easy access to the train station and good restaurants. Good business facilities. If your on business and just sleeping there it's a great place to stay. Book with breakfast and your in to a winner

We were only in Amsterdam for a day and I thought this would be better than an airport hotel, as it was more centrally located. I was wrong. Yes, this is brilliantly located - right next to the Central Station; however, the rooms were tiny, pokey and so stuffy. The latter was compounded by the fact that the air conditioning...

What more do you need when spending a lively 3 day visit in Amsterdam!?? A very clean hotel which is located right next door to Central Station, 5 minutes walk to the right light district and 10 minutes walk to Dam square, Yeah! I've read the other reviews but really!? Excellent location, very easy to get to and so convenient not to have to cart luggage around central Amsterdam. Greeted by very friendly, helpful staff, with request for room on high floor accommodated. Breakfast served in clean environment, but BEST OF ALL is the smiles one is greeted with. Breakfast staff AMAZING (especially Naimi and Kalpana). Always very welcoming and...

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
