Good location, 20 minutes walk from Amsterdam Central Station. The room was good and met our requirements for a long weekend. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast was good with plenty of choice. We would come again.

Location: 15 euro in a taxi from central station. 5 minute walk to Rembrant square. 15 euro taxi to Dam Square. Rooms: Clean, tidy, light, fair size for two people sharing. Bathroom was clean and with an excellent sized shower (powerful and the water went as hot as you could stand). Fresh towels and room cleaned daily. Bar - nice... More

My wife and I spent 4 nights at this hotel and we had a great time. The room was a bit small and the restroom was sort of like being on an airplane's bathroom, not a big fan of it but at least it was my own private bathroom. The breakfast was great although a bit pricey, there is a... More

As I was running out of affordable options for very specific dates in Amsterdam, I chose this IBIS. If you are looking for a cultured neighbourhood with traditional Amsterdam style homes, then you will NOT find it here. The neighbourhood is slightly more modern with lacklustre buildings and construction right next door. With suitcases, it will take at least 10... More

Me and my brother stayed there in November 2015. The hotel is at the great place! Good breakfast and the service was great can't hope any better! The wifi also worked well. The room was nice and clean with window to the street. There's grocery called "Albert heijn" near the hotel. Our stay was organized by Q-dance and we got... More

Large, clean room. Very good location. Located 10 minutes walk from Dam Square. Service was very good. Fast check in / check out. Didn't eat breakfast here as it was quite expensive. Comfortable stay & would stay here again if I visit Amsterdam in the future.

The hotel itself was very clean and the staff were brilliant, the only down side was , there's no bath only a shower and after all the walking you do, I really do appreciate a long soak and there's no tea/coffee facilities in the room. The room itself is basic but the bed is really comfortable. The breakfast was ok... More

Staying in Plantage & the East

Neighbourhood Profile
Plantage & the East
The eastern edge of central Amsterdam provides visitors with the chance to imagine the city that Rembrandt called home (and to tour his historic house) while shopping like the thriftiest of locals at Waterlooplein’s massive flea market, or even enjoying a craft beer beside the tallest wooden windmill in The Netherlands. This verdant, serene, and stately part of town is home to Artis Royal Zoo, one of Europe’s oldest (and still best kept) zoos, and Hortus Botanicus, one of the oldest botanical gardens in the world. It's also an ideal setting for the Dutch outpost of St Petersburg’s Hermitage.
