After booking through booking.com we ended up with 2 different room standards for excactly the same prices. I was promised the same standard when I came and checked in the day before my guest arrived. This situation could have easily been solved by the hotel manager next day (in many ways) but he could not care less.

Close to Museum Quarter, easily accessible by public transport, close to Vondelpark. Stylish 1920 interiors, largely original, small but well equipped rooms, quiet area. Mind a steep staicase but yhere is a lift. Food good but breakfasts fairly expansive, not really worth the price. You can easily have breakfast in one of nearby caffes on your way to the city...

We had a family room for 4, clean, efficient and good value for us all. The stairs are extremely steep in the old part of the hotel. Their was a lift for those who forgot their climbing gear. The reception was friendly and we would definitely stay there again. Being independent means that it is authentic and real rather than...

very clean room, nice friendly staff, perfect location to explore the city. Loved the small fridge in the room. Close to the Museum area. Nice bathroom and shower, rooms are a bit small en therefore not much cupboard space but it was sufficient.

I stayed here in December and the hotel is lovely. One of the best beds I have slept in the pillows were very soft and bouncy. The hotel was very clean and the decor was individual and attractive. The staff were very friendly and the rooms were cleaned every day with clean towels provided. The bath was very big and...

The quiet location and the helpful staff suited us very well together with the easy access by tram to all of the sights in the centre. The room was very clean and comfortable and the buffet breakfast was good. A good choice of restaurants nearby. We would certainly stay here again if we visited Amsterdam in the future.

The hotel is run by a family, in a professional manner. The hotel's staff are very friendly and helpful for whatever your need may be. As a 'part-time' wheelchair user getting into the hotel is not wheelchair friendly. There is no ramp or other accessibility to get into the hotel with a wheelchair. This wasn't a problem for me but...

I stayed here with my partner in December 2014 for four or five nights. It was one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in: such a comfortable bed, amazing breakfast, lovely bar area and wonderful, attentive staff. The location feels residential but is actually not far from the centre of town (we walked it most of the time)...

We booked this hotel as it was one of the only ones available at a reasonable price after we had inadvertently booked a weekend to Amsterdam on the same weekend that a huge dance festival was held. The fact that we could still get rooms there meant we booked with trepidation. We shouldn't have worried. Apollofirst Boutique Hotel is in...
