Booked a last minute deal on Thomas cook website so weren't exactly expecting a 5 star. On arrival we checked in and were told we were on the third floor. Thankfully there was a working lift because the stairs were so steep. The room was...More
Our room (room 20) lied on the first floor of the hotel (ground level). It was not carpeted and lay right next to the hotel's main corridor which was tiled. This made sure that everyone walking could be heard in the room. Because the breakfast...More

One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers.
As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.

Hi, I suppose it depends on your individual needs really, they have a lift that works and the doorways are fairly wide, other than that, like most accommodation in Amsterdam the stairs are quite steep.
