I stayed at Hotel Hegra for a few days with a friend on vacation. There was some confusion at the desk as to our arrival dates. When I got to my room, I couldn't have been more disappointed! There was mold on the bathroom door and the floors were not clean. The worst experience was folding down the bed comforter...

Friendly Staff, great location, overlooking the canal, room we had was small but very nice, the only drawback for some will be the steep stairs to rooms. We enjoyed our stay, and visited the recommended Restaurant for some good local food, We walked everywhere from the Flower market to the Ann Frank House, and also the Red Light District. I...

This is not a bad hotel for the price. If you want closer or bigger then you'll have to pay more. 5 minuets walk from Amsterdam square therfore the location is good. The rooms are small but very clean and just what you need. Hotel staff are friendly! Be prepared for very steep stairs but that's the normal in Amsterdam....

We stayed here over Easter and would thoroughly recommend the hotel. It over looks the canal and is in a great location as most places are with in a 10 minute walk. It was a typical building being a very tall and narrow house with very steep steps. The family room was clean and there was enough room for the...

If in Amsterdam one should expect steep stairs and cramped quarters. This hotel is no different. Nice enough location. We had a room of four single beds for four adults for one night. Barely enough room to walk by. It was clean with new modern bathroom fixtures. Window did not have a view. Best thing about the room was that...

My wife & I stayed here for 2 nights. Its situated on a quite street overlooking the canal. Its around 3 minutes walk to Dam Square. There are some nice little bars & cafes around the hotel. Beds very comfortable. Very quite day & night. The rooms are very small though for the €160 per night price tag as is...

Me and two friends stayed here for 4 nights while visiting Amsterdam. This hotel is very good located with walking distance to all sights in Amsterdam. We didn't try the breakfast and there are plenty of other places to eat at just around the corner from the hotel. I will stay here again if I come back to Amsterdam!

Myself and a friend stayed here for three nights earlier this month, and thought the hotel was lovely. The room was very small, hot box at night! But it was very clean and nicely decorated, and we had no problems at all. The cleaner came in to make our bed ever day (even though we had done it ourselves) and...

First time in Amsterdam and we picked a Hotel close to Dam square. It's about a 20 minute walk from Central station, easy to find. It is situated on one of the main canals on a quiet street (no heavy traffic). Staff speak English and extremely friendly and helpful. Good continental breakfast available 8am until 10am and free wifi in...
