Visited with my fiance last Valentine..the hotel Couldnt be better located! well I guess thats the reason for a little steep price.Though it was Valentines which could also affect the pricing..Everything else was fine.Breakfast included..room simple, but clean and functional..and the reception staff very helpful and always smiling! I would use again.

Stayed for 2 nights. Room and bathroom was clean. Bed was small and not very comfortable. Breakfast was nice. We didn't spend much time in our room so just what we needed, close to plenty of attractions. Polite and welcoming staff.

Had a great 3 night stay at the rho hotel. Breakfast was delicious and staff were friendly. Rooms were a little tired but comfortable. The location is by far the best part! A short walk to everything- dam square on your doorstep, shopping, central station, and others

The hotel is very centrally located but had a few cons which dampened the experience for us. To start with the lady at the reception was in such a hurry to get our payment even before addressing some questions we had with regards to the room we wanted . The gentlemen thankfully stepped in and assisted after we went to...

I stayed at the RHO Hotel many years ago. The location is fantastic. HOWEVER... This property has a major security issue. The room door locks use old technology that use Ving Cards that have a pattern of holes. When you check-in the clerks make a big deal that you must leave the key at the desk when go out. I...

Have just returned from the Rho Hotel, it has been our 4th visit and it never disappoints, the location is super, Dam Square/Royal Palace at your doorstep, 10 min stroll from Central Station, 2 minutes from tram stop to take to all attractions, breakfast is more than adequate, something for everyone but for me the best of all is the...

Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighbourhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
