We are a family of five and we stayed at the penthouse apartment for few days. The apartement is very spacious with large living room and well equiped kitchen. The staff was very kind and helpful and breakfast was fine. Near-by tram station can take you to city center, or alternatively, take a midium distance walk. The only drawback we...

We had an apartment just outside old town Amsterdam. The kitchenette was a plus as we could go to local market to buy lunches. Located next to a nice park. The service was very helpful with planning, using phone, late check out and holding luggage. I would stay here again. It was not inexpensive, but a lot of space for...

Cash only. The location is fabulous, lovely neighbourhood, beautiful park, tram passes the front of the hotel. Very clean and comfortable. Excellent staff and...

We had a girl's weekend in Amsterdam and stayed at Zandbergen for 3 nights. All 7 of us were very impressed with the location, staff, cleanliness and good service. Only short tram ride away from city center but miles away from tourist masses. Worth a visit, i'd go again.

We were upgraded to a mini apartment and it was lovely. We were SO happy not to be in the touristy area of town and the park nearby is breathtaking. The staff were very nice and we met two gals in the waiting area who were just as happy with the hotel as we were. I would definitely stay again.

Stayed at Zandbergen based on TripAdvisor and not disappointed. This was the first hotel my wife and I stayed on our 8 week and first European trip. The service especially provided by the manager,Henk was the stand out feature. He made you feel as though you are his only guests -very helpful and informative which was reassuring being first time...

I choose Hotel Zandbergen based on trip advisor's positive rating and was very satisfied with its great location and helpful service from both Henk, the manager and his staff. The hotel is located in a nice and quiet neighborhood with easy access to Museumplein either by walk or by tram #2 which stops right next to the hotel. Henk always...

It was actually a mistake of another hotel that I ended up in Hotel Zandbergen, and it was perhaps just as well, for I experienced a personalized service that only the warmth and coziness of a B and B can provide. The place is defined very much by the boundless energy, efficiency and friendliness of the owner Henk, who greets...

Hotel Zandbergen is located in the best neighborhood, with many great cafes/restaurants - Museumplein - to stay in Amsterdam. I stayed there for the second time and I didn`t regret. Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
