It is a very convenient and fairly priced hotel. The service is friendly and the building itself is nicely themed. The sink in the bathroom was unbelievably small and its form made it difficult to wash even the face in the morning, but for a couple of days it's not a big deal.

This was my second visit to Amsterdam and I used this hotel again. Very well priced for what you get and location. Very convenient location which is a 5 minute walk away from the Amsterdam Cental train station and 5 to 10 minute walk away from the red light district. Breakfast was included which was great, basic but good, what...

Just across a canal and a busy street from Centraal Station, I was a bit worried our room might have some street noise; no problem in our rear room. Central stations are well-connected with trams, etc., therefore A-Train visitors are as well. Loved the train themed displays. Good breakfast in an uncrowded setting. But mostly it was the helpfulness of...

This hotel is located a short walk from Centraal Station, it is walking distance to almost all attractions. From the A-train we walked to Anne Frank house, the Rijkmuseum, Iamsterdam sign, sea palace and Sherlocked. We stayed here for two nights the staff were welcoming and the facilities were what you expect for the price. The room was very clean...

Couldn't be more central. We chose it because of its location in front of the central station, only a five minute walk from train to reception. All the staff were brilliant, helpful and very friendly. Our room was facing the station, maybe a little noisy for some but didn't worry us that much. Breakfast was good, not a lot of...

From the airport you can take a train to Amsterdam Central. The hotel is just 5 mins walk from the train station. So if you're travelling with families this is a hotel to choose because they have a family apartment. All the buses and trams are also nearby. Very close to shopping area and there are a lot of halal...

I returned to Amsterdam in October to celebrate my 64th birthday. The Atrain is the ONLY hotel I stay at when I return to Amsterdam. The staff and management are some of the most friendly people you`d want to meet and very helpful. The rooms are nice and clean and very relaxing. The breakfast buffet is very diverse with something...

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
