It's a good hotel option for back pack trips if you don't want to stay in a dormitory room with many people and need a personal bath. Excellent location in Museumplein area and very close to tram station also. You can go to Vondelpark in 5 min by walk. But don't expect a clean and tidy hotel. Very small room...

Checked in went to the room. Bathroom was dirty and the whole room stank of urine. Turned round walked out. Would not give a refund but still would not sleep there had to find and pay for another hotel.

A budget hotel located in Museumplein area and within walking distance of the Musuem Area. Good for people who would be exploring the city/countryside and come back to take a nap/refresh in the evening. Location wise a very good place within Amsterdam.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights and it was surprisingly okay.. after all the reviews I read I thought it was going to be awful but it wasn't. We were suppose to get bunk beds and a shared bathroom and ended up getting twin beds and a private bathroom! Although they never tidied our rooms or changed our...

I just got home from Amsterdam. I stayed at this hotel only for two nights and I've got bed bugs' bites all over my body!!!! I don't recommend anybody to stay in this hotel. It's dirty and disgusting. I didn't mind that room was small and staff wasn't extremely friendly but there should be no bed bugs in any hotel...

I can safely say this is the worst hotel I've ever visited. Firstly - there was no bathroom attached to our room, as booked. It was down the other end of the corridor. The lift struggled to work and the whole place felt dirty. Secondly - The key to room did not work. It consequently meant that we were sat...

After seeing terrible reviews I spent the first night very restless. However after getting over the fear of bed bugs! Which there was none! Yey! The bed was comfy, the room was adequate. It's a budget hotel. Don't book budget and expect 4* treatment. Yes it needs ALOT of tlc but it's a camp base. We were in our room...

This is the worst hotel I have ever booked since i started travelling. 1- the room is so small. 2- the staff is unprofessional at all and they don't know anything about hotels or hospitality. 3- no cleaning or even changing bed sheets (bed bugs) !!!!! 4- the staff is so rude in talking with guests, they are entering rooms...

Besides all the things, one of the most importance - this place has bedbugs everywhere! It's totally disqualifying and most awful thing hotel can have. Not only you'll get bitten, but bring them home!

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
