Fantastic location, on the junction of two canals so always something interesting to see. We had a lovely corner room which was very light and airy, but very noisy especially at weekends. So if you want a good night's sleep and you are at the front of the hotel, take ear plugs. But it didn't put us off - the...

A sweet little hotel in the Jordan area. The single small room was actually quite big. There is no air condition only a standingfan and the heat was extreme. The only way to get air and cool air was to open the windows. The windows were facing the backyard so it was not noisy. There are no "don't" disturb sign...

An excellent position on the Prinsengracht, about 5 minutes walk from the Dam and 5 minutes from Leidseplein, so very near to all tourist facilities, good bars and restaurants, We stayed over a sunny weekend and paid a bit more for a room with a canal view, which really added to the ambiance. There is a sleepy dog on the...

We stayed here in May 2013 and the hotel was perfect. We had a large room with a view of the canal, good bathroom, furniture in keeping with the ambience of the hotel. Keep in mind they are not kidding about the stairs. We were luckily only 1 floor up (and the very kind staff carried our bags). Walking distance...

Perfect location, in front of the Prinsengracht canal and the heart of the Jordaan, the coolest neighborhood of Amsterdam. Close to many bars, restaurants and attractions. Large room, spacious and extremely comfortable, with a beautiful view of the canal. I was delighted and I intend to stay at this hotel again if returning to Amsterdam. But watch out: Amsterdam typical...

Fantastic location. Only one opportunity to have room made up per day so if you were using your room you miss out. No do not disturb sign for the door, no fridge in the room and rooms were very small. Very noisy I room faces the canal so you either get a view or a peaceful sleep. You should also...

Good location and mediume breackfast service. The hotel doesn't have the elevator and to reach rooms steps are quite thin and high. It's ok if you don't have big luggages. Comfortable beds and very characteristis room.

Staying in Jordaan

Neighbourhood Profile
Jordaan
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
