Very dirty, very hot , no ventilation , its not worth the star they say they have. To have one star is not a license to be awful and dirty. the breakfast is a silly ,cheap agreement with the neighbor restaurant, which serves the weakest and most pathetic meal i have seen and tried . The internet is available only...

Do not stay here! The ONLY thing good that I can say is that the location is very convenient. It is only a 5 minute walk to Centraal Station and close to a lot of shops and eateries. The rooms and building are in need of serious repair. The TV didn't work at all and the wifi barely worked. The...

First of all, staff was ok, BUT hotel was worse than anything I've ever slept in. I don't wanna tv in room, i don't wanna breakfast. I have a dream, one day i want clean room without mould on wall, with window you can close, clean mirror, wardrobe you can close, and so on. They are making some reconstruction but...

Had a 10 hour layover in amsterdam. Decided to explore the city late at night and stumbled upon this hotel at 2:30am. We checked in and the room was so bad that we immediately checked out. The bathroom was worse than a gas station bathroom and the window that opens to the ally was wide open and looked broken. The...

Location is the only positive of this hotel We checked in after 9pm and the toilet was filthy. Manager apologised and cleaned it but it still spoilt our night in Dam. The walls and Windows are so thin and being a light sleeper, I was kept up all night. I've been to numerous hotels in the Netherlands but this is...

If you have no expectations you'll be disappointed. If you have low expectations you'll be fine. This works if you want to be in the middle of the action, and only need a place to sleep at the lowest cost possible.

Don't turn up expecting the Ritz, you get what you pay for. Great for groups of youngsters and right in the centre. Easy place too find on a first trip too Amsterdam. If you just want somewhere where you can dump your stuff and head out in the city and maybe sleep, then the hotel Monofa is the ideal place...

The rooms are disgustingly dirty... Breakfast is very poor.. The `hotel` is very central however..Had to check out (with no refund) 4 days before our actual check out date... so one can imagine the state this `hotel` is in.

This is the worst hotel I have stayed in. Room was filthy, cold and damp, heating not working properly and broken window Which looks directly down onto a dirty alleyway. Bathrooms and toilets again very damp and freezing throughout, generally very run down establishment.

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
