I went with a group of friends. We were 4, in the apartment 2 slept in 2 Individuals beds and the others in the sofa bed. The apartment was small but Cosy! For the price, it was a very nice choice, especially because it was very close to the center! It was 35min walking from the central station!

The apartments were in a good central location, 5 minute walk to the museums and loads of restaurants and bars near by to choose from. 30 minute walk to dam square. Quiet neighbourhood, beds comfy, plenty of kitchen facilities. However I would say the size of the apartment was small, we had 2 luxury apartments, and they were small so...

I have stayed in this Cityden for 5 nights and I can say that I was pleased overall. First of all it's not a hotel, it's more like a daily rental apartment. There's no reception but that doesn't matter if you call an hour before your arrival. We were greeted by 2 guys who were extremely helpful and polite. The...

First, know which apartment you are actually reserving. Our apartment was A 2 bedroom on 57 PC Hoffstraat. The apartment was very nice with modern decor, comfortable beds, a large clean bathroom, and a small kitchen. It is two blocks from the VanGogh museum and on the same street as Jimmy Choo shoes, Cartier and several other high end shops....

There were many things wrong with City Den - We arrived early and even though we were told that if we ring when we arrive and pay a small amount of money we could wait inside the premises until our room was ready. This proved to be untrue. The assistance staff at the airport rang them on our behalf to...

We came to visit Amsterdam and was so excited as it was our first time, the meet and greet was great very welcoming but the room was a big disappointment it was so tiny, when we booked we was under the impression we had a 2 bedroom apartment with a balcony but ended up with a tiny 1 bed apartment...

The apartment was ok for size with 4 people staying as the weather was glorious so we didn't spend much time in it. I can imagine if it had been raining and we stayed in then it would be cramped. Cleanliness of apartment 32 was not up to scratch. We had to re wash up the crockery before using it,...

We stayed for 8 days & found the room To be TINY - with an ikea bathroom jammed into an already cramped bedroom - there was no privacy for family members in this arrangement. To add insult to injury - we were here for a heat wave & despite reporting the broken air conditioner unit 2x - it was never...

I am travelling with my family through Europe from Amsterdam to Brussels,Brugge, Paris,Disney Paris and London. I have tried family hotel chains, Air bnb and Cityden in Amsterdam on 2 occasions. Cityden offers what Air bnb has in type of units in unique settings and one off type of apartments. Where Cityden excels is that there is a management group...

we spent few days in what the claim as an apartment...2 extremely small rooms with a bathroom. It is right on the street and it is hard to sleep without hear plugs. Despite the fact that we were perfectly on time we had to wait to receive the keys. No room to leave the luggage after check out.

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
