I stayed here because of the walking distance to Rijksmusuem for sunrise. I pretend to be a photographer. I really enjoyed my time at this hostel. With 20 beds I was kinda nervous about noise and stuff, It was great! For $17 euros it was A STEAL and I would stay again in a heartbeat. Book it! Great location. Half...

Stayed there for a night with some friends. Place was strategic and within walking distance to bourbon street, rijks museum, the canal, hard rock cafe, everything. Breakfast was okay and they also organize a free walking tour at around 10 AM. You cant rent bikes from them as well.

Our family of 4 stayed here for two nights. We had a private 4 bed room with private bathroom. There are 3 buildings at this hostel and our room was in the modern B building. Our windows overlooked Vondel park which was great for people watching and see the parrot flock that lives in the park. The room and bathroom...

Amsterdam is pretty pricey compared to a lot of places in Europe, so a twin private here was about $80 a night which is pretty steep for a hostel. The bathrooms are very standard but manageable but didn't have soap which I thought was odd...WIFI only in the lobby. Location is great though! You could walk to everywhere and the...

This was the first time I'd ever stayed in a Hostel and I have to say I was very impressed. The rooms were huge which was fantastic for 5 twenty something girls and the facilities such as the bedrooms and wash rooms were clean. The breakfast was an important part of the stay and we enjoyed the delicious selection of...

Good beds in deluxe private rooms. Very social with lot of people in the reception area, bar, game romm etc. Breakfast quite basic. Located almost in the Vondelpark and close to Leidseplein. Also close to trams. Possible to buy bacon and egg in the weekend and a basic meal in the evening for 7.50€ or 10€ including drink.

Stayed in this hostel for three nights in a female only six bed dorm. Hostel was very clean and close to centre (35 minute walk from the station, 10 minutes lots of bar and clubs, 25 minutes red light district area). Rooms were very spacious and had a bathroom and shower and sink. Impressed with hostel, lots of discounts available...

We stayed here over the easter holidays with a couple of friends. It was by far the best hostel we ever stayed in Amsterdam. The location is very central-close to all of the main attractions. Rooms were clean. Staff were friendly as well. I will deffinetly be staying here again.

Nice staff, good beds, clean rooms. Everything you need and expect from a hostel. Especially interesting for those on a budget. Only downside: breakfast stops at 10:00 sharp! You can't even get a refill of your juice at 10:00:01 even if you were on time.

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
