I had a quick one night stay at the Hotel Asterisk which was a nice inner suburban Amsterdam stay. The hotel was nicely laid out and, mercifully, had a window which actually opened for fresh air. The tram gets you nice and close from Amsterdam Centro with nice sites to see from the tram on the way. A quick walk...

Excellent little hotel. Staff very friendly & helpful. Room very clean & comfortable. Breakfasts very good. Great location - close to tram stops, less than 10 min walk to Van Gogh museum. Easy to get to airport via short tram ride to Airport bus stop.

When looking for last minute deal reviews for hotels in my price bracket always had a few negative comments which put me off and I was beginning to think I would have to compromise. However, hotel Asterisk was just perfect for what we needed. Rooms were spacious enough, modern and very clean. The reception staff were helpful and friendly. The...

Could have given this place 2 or 3 stars but the staff brought it up to a 4. I'll start with the bad points. The bedroom (No. 45) was tiny! I'm a tall guy and just about fitted into the bed without my head and feet hitting against the side walls. I am 6ft 2", anyone taller than that will...

This little hotel is amazing. the staff is very friendly and welcoming, they have a great sense of hospitality and professionalism. The room was bigger than expected, very clean and organized, had all the amenities required for a pleasant stay. The shower was perfect, they had both hot and cold water which is not always the case in other hotels....

We have just spent a truly wonderful weekend at the Asterisk Hotel. The staff were extremely friendly, the room was perfect and the breakfast delicious, varied and relaxed. I really am looking forward to visiting again.

I was stranded in Amsterdam for a night and got the last room in the hotel, a single bed with a separate (but still private) bathroom down the hall. The price was good and everything was clean and modern. They have a very nice breakfast and garden to eat it in. The staff were so helpful with everything I needed,...

The few positive aspects: the position in the city and the human quality of all the receptionists. Otherwise, the hotel is far more expensive than a 3 (real) star hotel on the French Riviera, does not offer any conditions of a 3 star hotel, with modern standards. The walls are too thin, so you know exactly what neighbors talk about...

my mother and I passed two nights in a double room and had a great time at asterisk hotel. especially the breakfast is amazing! everything is new renovated and clean. except from the pillows (little bit too big) everything was just perfect. you can reach everything easily by walk (15 min from amsterdam centre) or by tram (line 16). we...

Amsterdam seems to be priced a little like London, based on my experience. You get very little for your money. We paid €250 for two nights in mid July. The room was very small and had a single bed. The bathroom was small, but clean and modern, with a great wet-room shower. You'd probably have to spend at least €150...
