The room was a pretty decent size, good enough for two people. The bed was comfortable but it was two single beds with one double mattress on it. The bathroom were brand new, very clean and spacious which was very good. Fresh and clean towels were given everyday and the bed were made when we came back at night. The...

les plus +: Only the location is not so far from downtown and musuems les moins -: There are no Internet (wifi),so don't expect to connect with your tablet or smartphones, you have to bring an old computer using wired connections to do it. The beds are very small, really,if you are taller than 1m80 it'll be hard for you to sleep,they...

Despite being a budget hotel I still expected the basics to be of an average standard. However, this was not the case. When we arrived the staff were rude and unhelpful. We asked if it was OK to leave our luggage in a safe place as the room was not yet ready. The staff member behind the desk said yes...

Nice service and nice room. Nothing special but it is what it's supposed to be. A room to sleep in. Breakfast wasn't free though which I thought. Good walking distance to the center of Amsterdam and really close to both supermarkets and fine restaurants.

The young guy to the reception was really rude. The bed was a nightmare. I got for three days a stiffneck. Even the pillow was awful! I asked to change my pillow at least.. Nothing.. They did not care about me. The only good thing is the location. It takes 15 min to get to centre.

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
