This hotel is a great location, get the tram (1) from central and get off at leidsplein square a 5 minute walk to hotel. We had a great sleep on both nights, didn't hear any other guests despite the hotel being busy. The decor is dated however the room was clean. fresh towels and bed made each day. Wifi is...

I payed a very low price for the Season 2 weeks before our venue. We stayed one night The day of Arrival, we called the Hotel in order to recieve indication, then the Night -Receptionnist asked us to pay 10 euro for, as he said, "Late Checking-In" ... We don't give information about the miserable room next to the Reception...

As I booked very late there was not many hotel rooms available in my low bugget, this was the only hotel available with own private shower & toilet. Room was better than expected, all rooms sizes differ here as its an historical old building but the bathroom shower/toilet are newish and all in good condition. Clean, quiet, great location, easy transport access, OK its not...

Staff is very friendly and helpful. Hotel has a great location next to the Vondelpark. Leidsplein and musuemplein is only 400 metres away. though the rooms are tiny, are fully equipped. Rooms are being cleaned every day and fresh towels provided. The bathrooms and toilets were very clean. LED flatscreen tv's and wifi is splendid. Hotel has no lift, therefore...

I think the best word to describe the hotel is "average". The 20 euro deposit is not really what you would expect at any decent hotel and the fact that the wifi only works on 2 floors at best is really irritating. We stayed on the 3rd floor and the manager merely told us to come down to the reception...

Very reasonably priced accommodation when considering how close it is to vondelpark and the canals. Was able to go in and out of the place 24h a day and there was no issue about enjoying some of Amsterdam's finest right outside the hotel. Only minor problem was the WiFi wasn't particularly good.

+ location +price Thats all for the positive points. -they get extra 20 € deposit to give you "room key". -no reception. -Too small, tiny room, too small bathroom. -no hanger for clothes or towels. -the double room (near the reception desk) looks like a corridor, not actually a room. Interesting experience!

Not the most modern hotels but beds was comfy bathroom was modern and clean only down fall is if you are on the 3rd floor you can not pick up the hotels wifi I would stay there again as it was nice to be away from the red light district as it is very loud and manic down there.

Reception opens at 7am and closes at 10pm. We needed to get the bus to the airport early on the day of our departure and waited 20min for staff to attended the desk (during open hours) despite ringing bell repeatedly and calling from phone in room (phone and bell don't work apparently). Room is basic but clean enough. Shower has...

Exceptionally clean room for the price, the bathroom was particularly immaculate. The location is very good, the Vondelpark and the Rijksmuseum is very close. I recommend walking under the Rijksmusem and into the City centre, a very nice walk. Only reservations are that the hotel insists on only having wifi in the lobby, that is very small. If you're lucky...

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
