Location is great. Owners are great. Clean and feel-like-at-home rooms. Breakfast is self-served, but all-you-need products are very fresh and always available. Nothing to complain at all. Recommended for everyone.

This is a great place to stay. We stayed for 2 nights and we stayed on the first floor at the front looking out onto the Canal. It's in a great location, although it was a little noisy during the night as its opposite the start of the red light district so you do hear a few people singing and...

I had an opportunity to stay at the Tulip for several nights with friends. It's very centrally located, just a few blocks from the train station, and we did all of our sightseeing in Amsterdam on foot. The B&B itself is low-key and in an historic building that faces a canal; the long narrow building that dates back to the...

Booked this b&b at the last minute and couldn't have been happier! Chris and Dave are excellent hosts and really made us feel welcome from the minute we walked through the door till the minute we reluctantly left. We were given and map of the city and asked where we wanted to go, which was then marked on the map...

Spent a night here in October. The hotel is small and cozy and the owners running the business are extremely friendly and helpful. I had the top floor room with windows opening into three directions, no scenery from there though. The facilities included your own Nespresso machine which I appreciated a lot. The breakfast is wonderful - as you make...

Tulip of Amsterdam is a very lovely place to stay when you visit Amsterdam. Except of being very close to the center and metro and everything was within walking distance, this hotel is the best choice if you want to feel like home! The owners Chris and David are very friendly, happy, warm people and they will make you feel...

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
