This hotel is located three blocks from the main train station, so is very central. It has easy access to all museums, and is close to restaurants. The breakfast provided was very good, the rooms clean and the beds are comfortable, but the shower has a floor that allowed the water to drain into the bedroom which was a little...

This Hotel is basically 2 17th century Town Houses...drastically remodelled in 2013, I stayed at the rear ground floor, in a delightful room clean well furnished... window to a lightwell looking directly into the restaurant, excellent wet room shower etc, staff helpful, breakfast 'Dutch' Continental only, but plenty of it. The hotel is brilliantly situated for the centre being a...

Stayed two nights. 5-10min walk from the train station. Great location in the city centre. The rooms are very modern and comfortable. Staff were very helpful. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.

Pros: Short walk from train station (about 3/4 mins) Clean, modern, comfortable room Breakfast simple but well stocked and tasty Helpful staff Room cleaned and new towels every day Cons: Slightly further than expected from central red light district (but this also could be seen as a pro in terms of quiet) Fire alarm went off several times during the...

Very good budget hotel, with friendly staff, especially Rosaria at the breakfast. Excellent position between Centraal Station and the Old City Center. Room was clean, bed soft and cozy, elevator till 2nd floor, breakfast included and wi-fi very useful. On the other hand, bathroom was too small, very steep steps to reach 3rd floor, and the breakfast was barely decent...

We arrived in Amsterdam September 20th. First, our rooms were not ready at 2pm, which I understand is hard to manage but considering many travellers are from abroad, they should make an effort to prepare the rooms for thos who are arriving from a 10hour flight. The hotel is less than 10 minute walk from the train Station which was...

We stayed in this hotel as a part of our honeymoon for 3 nights. Now Amsterdam is an expensive city and staying at a clean good hotel that is also central is hard to find. This place was great! Very good price, clean, spacious room with a very friendly staff and a pretty good breakfast! One minus- uncomfortable bed and...

We have traveled and stayed in several hotels in Europe and this hotel room was very large by the usual standards and a very decent price. The location is perfect, close to the train station and close to the heart of the best area of Amsterdam. The room, aside from being spotlessly clean, was modern and we loved that almost...

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
