We arrived in Amsterdam 27th Oct and caught the train from Schiphol Airport to Central station at a cost of 5 euros each. The hotel is about a 5mins walk from the station.A friendly and polite man greeted us at reception. Our room was on the 3rd floor rm 303, which is reached either via steep narrow stairs or take the lift...

Very good budget hotel, with friendly staff, especially Rosaria at the breakfast. Excellent position between Centraal Station and the Old City Center. Room was clean, bed soft and cozy, elevator till 2nd floor, breakfast included and wi-fi very useful. On the other hand, bathroom was too small, very steep steps to reach 3rd floor, and the breakfast was barely decent...

We arrived in Amsterdam September 20th. First, our rooms were not ready at 2pm, which I understand is hard to manage but considering many travellers are from abroad, they should make an effort to prepare the rooms for thos who are arriving from a 10hour flight. The hotel is less than 10 minute walk from the train Station which was...

We stayed in this hotel as a part of our honeymoon for 3 nights. Now Amsterdam is an expensive city and staying at a clean good hotel that is also central is hard to find. This place was great! Very good price, clean, spacious room with a very friendly staff and a pretty good breakfast! One minus- uncomfortable bed and...

We have traveled and stayed in several hotels in Europe and this hotel room was very large by the usual standards and a very decent price. The location is perfect, close to the train station and close to the heart of the best area of Amsterdam. The room, aside from being spotlessly clean, was modern and we loved that almost...

The City Hotel is sited just beside Rembrandtplein, with its entrance on Utrechtsestraat. This puts it close to the centre of Amsterdam, with easy access to the Rijksmuseum, the Amsterdam Hermitage museum and the Flower Market. Rembrandtplein is an interesting spot on its own with numerous restaurants and even more numerous pubs nearby. This is both good and bad. The...

As a base to explore the city, you could ask for nothing more. It was a clean, modern hotel about a 5 min walk from the central station. Breakfast was ok and the room quiet and comfortable. We had wifi and a TV in the room. The staff were pleasant and helpful.

The hotel was as basic as you can get. Clean and welcoming for a low price. The location was perfect. A man hotel. Not the kind of place that a wife would feel pampered in. the room was big but did not have any extras. The beds were simple and not built for comfort. overall this was a hotel to...

Staying in Centrum

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
