This is simply a magical Guest House , made very special by the wonderful owner Cynthia and her gorgeous cat Lapsung . We had selected the lift room and the steep stairs were well worth the effort ! The room is very quaint with all...More
As everyone else on Tripadvisor has already noted, the Vanguard is a dream of a B&B. The location (right off the Rembrantsplein) is perfect both for museum going and for exploring central Amsterdam on foot. Cynthia is a wonderful hostess, who goes out of her...More
We stayed in the Loft earlier in June. Fabulous room, great views onto the canal and lots of quirky furnishings. The stairs are steep but worth it!
The location is perfect. Just away from the main busy areas and in a quieter area. Lots of...More
We had the basement room which I didn't realise when I booked it but didn't mind as it had a terrace. The house is lovely, the room large and quirky. It had everything we needed and its own entrance. The 'terrace' fronted on to the...More

This UNESCO World Heritage Site is as historically significant as it is perennially popular. Whether you’re a history buff, architecture enthusiast, shutterbug, or fashionista, odds are you’ll find the Amsterdam you're looking for while roaming around the Grachtengordel (Canal Ring). A brilliant place to get lost in a moody meander and a key component to any sightseeing trip to Amsterdam, this area's major draws
include the Anne Frank House, the Bloemenmarkt floating flower market, an enviable assortment of independent boutiques along De Negen Straatjes, and of course all of Grachtengordel’s lovely canals and bridges.

There are three rooms in the house, the Souterrain, the Ensuite and the Loft. Souterrain has a separate bathroom with shower, Ensuite with shower and bath and the Loft has a shower and sink which are part of the room but separated with a wooden folding screen, the toilet is just outside around the corner but on the same private floor.
I hope this answered your question sufficiently, best regards, Cynthia
