The hotel is in easy walking distance of the museums and close to bus and tram stops. We booked a room late and were given a small room overlooking the garden - but with a double bed squashed up against the wall, which meant some gymnastics to get out in the night! The breakfast was advertised as being "continental" but...

Thanks a lot Trooper1941, for your time writing this review! It is true that our Small Double rooms are small (that's why they are named as small). We are glad that after all, it was what you expected and we hope to see you again in the future! Best regards, Alexander Team.

We stayed for 3 nights and found the reception staff most helpful. We had a lovely loft style room which was most comfortable. The breakfast was well worth having as there's not much open nearby if you want an early start. Location was perfect for the thing we wanted to see.

A great place to stay if you want a good location. Close to museums and attractions and a safe distance from Red Light... Rooms were clean, although ours had a bit of an odor. Room size was, in my opinion, adequate for big city in Europe. No problem there. Staff was VERY friendly and helpful. A real classy group runs...

The hotel is located on a charmiming quiet street close to the museums, Vondelpark, and the tram. Hotel staff were efficient and professional. Room was very small, and not much space to hang clothes. Bed was comfortable, bathroom clean. Very basic room showing some wear and tear, but affordable price. Good breakfast for 10€.

Hotel Alexander is a great place to stay in Amsterdam. It's located very conveniently to Vondelpark on one side and Leidseplein on the other--very close to the main canals. Not only is it close to things, but it is on a very quiet residential street, which is great at night! The staff at Hotel Alexander were incredibly nice and very...

A 5 mins taxi drive to Dam Square at a very reasonable price. Rooms were very clean, central heated ( both bedrooms and bathrooms). Recommend this hotel...

We fell into the Alexander Hotel when we had to stay two additional days in Amsterdam due to a last minute change in plans resulting from a medical condition. And it turned out to be a European bank holiday, so everything was full, including our boutique hotel on the Singelgracht. We could not stay in the hotel beyond mid day....
