The best hotel in Amsterdam! The hotel is super clean. All staff are very friendly, helpful and proffesional. Big and modern room including beautiful design inside, large queen size bed and a lot of facilities. Tram and bus are close to the hotel. I would 100% recommend this hotel

Excellent service and a beautiful hotel! The hotel itself is lovely with everything you need. The rooms were neat , clean and spacious. We had some trouble with our suite door but the staff all acted quickly to resolve the issue whilst being extremely friendly about everything. Anything we needed, we just had to ask. Breakfast was also delicious!

Nice hotel. It was possible to open a window, staff was very friendly. Roomservice was good and the food was really delicious (large portions). There was an ice cube machine close to our room. Very quiet, didn't experience any problems. The bed was nice and soft, bathroom was okay. There was a fridge and a locker in the room. Only things: there were no bathrobes. Meanwhile in the Netherlands they have to be accessible in a 4 star hotel. Also parking is very expensive. I parked 15 min walking away from the hotel for half of the price (10 euros 24 hours).

I stayed in the Dutch Design Hotel Artemis for three nights. I did the check-in. The is no smile or direction to my room from the reception. i was just processed and given me my room card . Well, never mind, I found the way to my room in any event. In the bathroom, the sink was leaking, and I found hairs which were not mine. I went to the reception asking for someone to fix the sink. That was a BIG DEAL. A very moody staff member told me that the hotel was full and he was not able to find me another room. I said that the sink must be fixed and I expected the room had should have been checked before a new guest arrive . I went to have dinner in the city . When I returned to the hotel, a staff member told me that they managed to change the room. My luggage was in my old room and when i went to this room ,my old card could not open the door. So, I thought that the hotel had moved my luggage to the new room. This did not happen. When I arrived the new room, the new card did not open the door either. I felt it to be a complete mess . I went to the reception to explain the situation to the staff. I felt like I was up and down the elevator like a yo yo. I had to queue and wait at the reception . The staff member then couldn't locate the old room on his system. He only had a record for the new room. I kept explaining we had a previous room. He grew more and more impatient. He consulted with another staff member and eventually after some considerable time , located my previous room. Very abruptly I was given a card to allow me access to my old room to retrieve my luggage. There was no question of SORRY, NO APOLOGY of any kind from him . When I asked if had he mised something, if after all this inconvenience fuss, delay and confusion would even be an apology....he very directly asked me , sorry for what??? To be frank I was in disbelief. I could not understand , a hotel of this supposed quality could have such a shambolic standard , matched only by the bad manners and unprofessionalism of the staff member. I believe if you are working in the hospitality business , courtesy, respect and diplomacy are crucial requirements —this staff member lacked all these qualities . Moving to the "new "room. It was the same design of the previous one, the light was not working and there was worn furniture. I sat tight . I did not bother to speak with staff again after the unpleasant experiences I had had. Overall, if you are looking for a pleasant hotel to stay, with friendly, professional , helpful, staff , please avoid the Dutch Design Hotel Artemis. If this experience was confined to one staff member I might be regarded as unlucky but two impolite unfriendly people at the same reception is more than coincidence or bad luck. Its possibly either indifference or lack of supervision by the hotel authorities results is such poor room preparation and front line service. Unfortunately my experience here was not pleasant, and I will not return. Thanks.

We were 5 nights at this hotel. At first when we arrived, the staff from the reception was something else but helpful. She just gave us a paper and told us not to smoke. I was ok. No smile, it took her a while to greet us as well. At one point, I went downstairs to ask for a birthday candle, because it was late and there were no shops open. The guys from the reception started laughing and talking in dutch with other 2 girls leaving me confused and then he gave me "no we don t have any" and continue laughing with the other 2 girls as I said, talking in dutch. I didn't get what was so funny, but I just left because their english was poor and I really believe they didn't know what I meant. Not everyone was rude, tho. There was a very helpful girl who helped us with everything from renting a bike to anything we wanted. I don't know her name, but she is blonde and she always has a ponytail. Again, the cleaners were very nice. They helped and understand any of our needs. Now forget about the staff, let me say about the room. A very nice and clean room, very big with a nice view. The only problem was the heating which was mostly not working properly I want to believe. It doesn't matter how long you would let it work, it was still cold in that room, but to be fair, the weather outside was a joke as well. So I don't know what happened to it but from the first day it was cold in the room but acceptable so I didn't say anything about that. In our last day, we were meant to check out at 1 the latest but at 10:50 our hotel card wasn't working anymore. At this point I was downstairs and I didn't know, but when I went to the room it was declining. I went downstairs to tell them, they did something on the computer and told me it's working. Went upstairs, it wasn't working so I went back downstairs and again they did something on the computer. Went upstairs, still not working so came back downstairs. I did this for at least 4 times as I was dizzy because of the elevator because guess what, our room was on the 6th floor. On the 5th trip, the lady finally came with us to prove her that it was still not working and she asked me if there's someone on the room.. uhm hello.. who, if I was with her!? She then rang and knock on the door and no one answered because I was with her! She finally opened the door and told me that she's gonna come back with another working card. She didn't. So there was no way I can leave that room without talking to them, at the reception about my card. I left it like that and I just checked out in the end. Apart from the blonde lady and another tall guy which was working at the nighttime, your staff was rude and unhelpful. I think you should take a look at what's going on there, because they're always busy talking to eachother and barely give attention to the customers.
