The Jordaan is in my opinion the nicest area of Amsterdam and the B&B is perfectly placed to be a great base for a stay. It is within walking distance to most of the main attractions. The room was clean, functional and basic, but the best thing about B&B Jordaan was Charlotte who could not have been nicer or more...

Charlotte, the hostess, does an excellent job in making your stay perfect with her friendly hospitality. This B&B in the charming Jordaan area, has three rooms. We had one at the first floor, with a view to a quiet street and a glimpse of the canal. Nice spacious room with a cosy, homey feel to it and a small private...

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at B&B Jordaan. Charlotte helped us enormously with her advice about public transport, etc. Her Dutch breakfasts were excellent and very fresh. We would definitely stay here again.

Everything was perfect: the owners are very nice, welcoming and helpful; the rooms are spacious, clean and pleasant; the location is good: not too far from the center, easy to get to and close to all transports and usual visitor sites, museums, etc. Breakfast is delicious and varied. I would really recommend it without a doubt !

Travelling with a 4 month old child can be a nice experience or can become a nightmare, depending mainly on your luck, then also on the people you have the chance to meet. We met Charlotte, the owner of this B&B, and with her deep experience as mother of a little blond cloud, togheter with her sincere kindness, she helped...

We had a very enjoyable 2 days in Amsterdam with B&B Jordaan as our base. Close to the canals and the many restaurants and shops, we could not have been in a better location. Our room was cosy with a private garden. Local breakfast in our room was great. Charlotte was full of advice on places to visit and things...

From the beginning of my interaction with this B&B I knew the owners were competent professionals. They sent detailed information about how to pay, where to park, and any other information I requested. When we arrived we were welcomed warmly and shown to a spacious, clean, and cozy room. Over our stay, we enjoyed getting to know the owners and...

We were celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary and could not find a better place to start our Dutch experience than in Jordaan @ B & B Jordaan. Our hostess was very informative, knowledgeable and precise about all that we asked her. Our room was very nice and had a garden. She also recommended local Dutch places for dinner. In a...

My fiance & I visited Amsterdam as the first stop on a 2 week vacation and we were very happy with B&B Jordaan. We had no problems finding the location and loved that it was on a quiet street so we could get good sleep at night. Charlotte was a lovely host. She met us with a smile, showed us...

This B&B is newly refurbished and is very comfy and clean. The rooms are bright and airy with really comfortable beds and a good sized bathroom/wet room. Charlotte, explained that we were the first guests to have stayed since the refurbishment and she had worked until the early hours of the morning to make sure the rooms were ready for...

Yes we're always interested in feed-back on our accommodation right away. After they left we immediately took the chance to place darkmaking curtains. Thanks again for the tip!

Staying in Jordaan

Neighbourhood Profile
One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll through this especially convivial warren of narrow streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and quality galleries. Historically a haven for the working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is better known as an enclave for artists and designers. As popular as the Jordaan is as a destination for locals and out-of-towners alike, the area never feels particularly touristy or overrun with outsiders. A highlight even for long-time Jordaan residents, be sure to accept any invitation to step within one of the area’s beloved courtyards or to have a sneak peek inside one of its many working studios.
