The hotel is nice, clean and cheap.Just a little bit outside the center but it's good aniway because you have busses.Just one thing be careful to the stairs.they're steep. And the last thing the area is nice and peaceful DURING THE DAY.Don't be too late because on the road from the center towards the hotel you might find some weird figure.anyway we...

This is a GOOD bargain-level "hotel". The staff are TOTALLY FRIENDLY, HELPFUL, and COURTEOUS!!! I am a senior female, and the reception staff person spontaneously offered to take my bag up the steep and winding stairs which are NORMAL for this country, and most of Europe. Each part of the "hotel" I saw was CLEAN! I stayed 7 nights. Even...

I actually really liked this hotel. So the negatives I am going to say do seem really negative, but I did really like the hotel and would stay there again. The room was small but adequate for my needs. There is a sink in the room but no other bathroom facilities. The shelf above the sink was also broken but...

Me and two other students recently went on a four day trip to Amsterdam, booking a last minute room at Hotel Flipper. It probably had the best price for a triple room with ensuite that we could find, but I'll admit, after reading the many varied reviews, I didn't have high hopes for the place. But I’m now very happy...

Difficult to know where to start with Hotel Flipper. I travelled there with 2 friends last september, having spent some time in Maastricht we were finishing our trip in Amsterdam. We were initially impressed with the city- great transport system, scenic streets and a fantastic ambiance. That changed when we arrived at the Flipper though. To begin with, the room...

It is a bit hard to find this hotel at first, but once you know your way around it is not so bad. It is about 10-15mins away from the city centre, and the trams come very frequently. Just to let new comers know, it is better to pay by cash instead of card, as you get charged an extra...

We paid 200 euros a night for a family of 4. The room was so small that one of the kids beds was placed right next to ours like a large triple bed. And there was still barely enough room to walk around the room. We had a corner room (number 9) where the curtains were hanging so far removed...

Before I write anything else, I need to say that my good opinion is mostly based on value for money. We paid 30 euros per night (double room, shared bathroom, stayed in February 2012) and what we got for such a small price was very decent. However, everything in this hotel matches the price so, in case you want more...

stayed here in 2009, since it was a cheap alternative to many of the expensive hotels in Amsterdam. I woke up the next day and had well over 150 bites all over my body. My friend also had well over 100 bites. We did some online research, and found out that they were bed bug bites. The manager accused us...
