This apartment is at a great location. Close to museums and the Heineken experience. It is not that close to Amsterdam Centraal Station though. But it is easily accessible by tram. The apartment is big enough for a couple, with a kitchen and living room. We were expecting a reception, but when you walk in the card keys are in...

The room was clean and fresh with a large window over looking the street, beds were comfy, breakfast next morning was welcome buffet style eat all you want washed down with a few coffees, not to far away from the square, but quiet enough at night to get a great sleep, staff helpful answering questions, all in all a good...

Luckily, very easy to find if you get the 197 bus from the airport and get off at Museumplein. Easy access and nice room. The photos in the guide are very clever making it look a lot bigger and divided than it was, but this was not an issue (just funny). everything we needed was there - even managed to...

I stayed here with my friend for a few days and we had a great time. The location is amazing and a short walk or bike to anywhere you want to go. The facilities are so good. The kitchen is fully equipped and the beds very comfortable. It is a great place and has everything you would need for a...

You cannot beat the ideal location of these apartments. We arrived into Amsterdam and took Tram 5 (or you can also take 16) get off at Museumplein, cross the road & Apartments are just 2 blocks in front of you. (Trams run from 6.30 am until mid night) The apartment we had was on the top floor and we found...

This apartment is easy to find. Take S-Bahn #6 to Bahnhof Zuid. Then take Tram #5 toward Cental Station and get off at the Concert Hall. You will only be 2 blocks away. Great Location in a quiet neighborhood. Our first impression was not that good. The stovetop was dirty. The freezer in the refrigerator was so caked in ice...

Booked the studio apartment for my husbands 40th, it's in the basement so a little dark but it's well equipped and has everything you need! I would not hesitate in recommending this accommodation it was a really good location close to museums and an easy walk to the centre and in a quiet location. We would definitely stay there again!...

Really close to all the main happening only walking distance to restaurants There a nice cafe only nearby like across the road (completely forgot the name if it) but its probably the best cafe we been too, not crowdy and cheap!

Very nice location, a 5-minute walk from Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum, one minute to the tramway, and almost 15-20 minutes to any place in the city. The best about its location is that you feel like a local because it's in the middle of a residential neighbourhood. The place is spacious, service was great, and the apartment has everything...

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
