We were a group of 5 staying for 2 nights. It was a bit pricey for an average hotel but the location was what made it cost more. It is located on one of the main roads in Amsterdam, steps away from the Royal Palace. It is also right above a fry place which smelled so good every time coming... More

This hotel is very close to the train station and central in Amsterdam overall, for one who wants to stay central it is an ideal location. The lady who helped us check in was very helpful and smiled wich made us feel welcome. Also the Wifi worked flawlessly for us wich was really good, we brought a chromecast wich was... More

Very poor quality for this money. So small rooms, bathroom wasn't clear. Like a prison but you also have to pay for staying there. There are a lot of much better hotels for the same price in the same area. Not recommended!

Short distance to train station and smack bang where we wanted to be. Staff lovely and helpful. Boris what a nice guy. Room a little on the small size but bed and bedding brand new. Stayed for 3 nights and room was cleaned every day. Had a wonderful time in Amsterdam.

Walking distance to all the main tourist attractions. Right beside the red light district which is great for going to pubs but also far enough a way to get a good nights sleep. Beds very comfortable and rooms clean if small. Bit pricey for what you get but it seemed like that was standard for hotel accomodation in Amsterdam. Would... More

Damrak inn will be rated highly for its location but that is about it. Bed bugs - It seems like the staff gave up on properly cleaning a decade ago. Rooms are interesting shapes and sizes but that's not an issue,I don't book a hostel in Amsterdam to do anything more than have a kip. Daytime staff were friendly and... More

Nice hotel, kind staff, I loved the roof top with the hot tub and restaurant, we were two of us and the room was small but with a nice interior design, very close to the subway. I really suggest this hotel.

Don't go to that hotel!!!! The worst hotel ever! There were two mouses in our room in the trash and they were eating our chocolate . When we complianed to the manager she told us that it's because we brought food inside and she helped us by moving us into another room. The day after we found a mouse in... More

Visited with 7 other guys for a stag do, location is amazing. Room was basic but was secure with a safety deposit box per person and pretty clean too. Staff are friendly, shower was broken but was fixed the next day upon request. Value for money

Neighbourhood Profile
Centrum
Amsterdam’s buzzing hub, with its sprawling network of tram rails and a seemingly constant flow of tourists and commuters, yields convenient access to some of the best sightseeing, shopping, and street life in Europe. Closest at hand are the Royal Palace, the quaint shops of Haalremmerdijk, the pedestrianized zones Kalverstraat and Dam Square with popular neighborhoods such as the Red Light District, and the Canal Ring hardly more than a moment’s stroll away. With the well-connected Centraal Station as Centrum’s base, it's easy to travel farther afield via one of the city’s iconic trams.
