Comfortable stay and upgrade to double bed room for free. Staff is available for questions. Breakfast is good and 2 EUR discount if you reserve breakfast the night before. Near Leidseplein, a popular area in Amsterdam with a lot of theathres and restaurants.

The location of the hotel is phenomenal for culture in Amsterdam, five minutes to the Rijksmuseum, and walking distance to the Van Gogh museum, Concertgebouw, and van Baerlestraat with lots of wonderful restaurants. The staff is very helpful, and the facilities are appropriate for the hotel rank.

Nice place, very small rooms. No welcome package even though I requested one when booking. Barely room to turn around in the room they are so tiny, and stay away from connecting rooms, You hear every whisper.

Great location for a very good hotel. Not cheap but definitely worth the money. Walking distance from museum square and the centre of Amsterdam, 5 minute walk to Leidesplein, served by many night buses.

The hotel is spacious, has a good restaurant overlooking the canal, very close to the museums in the day and nightlife in the evening, clean good rooms, all you can ask for in Amsterdam for a very reasonable price. Always good to come back.

The Apollo Museum Hotel is right next to the Rijksmuseum and on a short (400 m) distance from the Vondelpark and Paradiso. It is has clean, big enough rooms, a comfortable bed, convenient facilities and friendly and accommodating personnel.

I payed the lowest price I could for the location I wanted. The room would not meet everyone's standards due to its small size but I don't need more than was provided. Clean room and hotel staff helpful

Staying in Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)

Neighbourhood Profile
Museum Quarter (Museumkwartier)
Top sites to see in this attractive and affluent part of town include the Rijksmuseum and the Van Gogh Museum, to name but two of the highly acclaimed museums of the aptly named Museum Quarter. And if you need a break from all the fantastic art, there’s the Neoclassical Concertgebouw music hall and Vondelpark, the city’s largest park. Shopaholics and luxury brand connoisseurs will love exploring the high-end shopping destinations of PC Hooftstraat, Van Baerlestraat, Cornelis Schuytstraat, and Jacob Obrechtstraat, where even the shop window displays are of museum quality. In the evenings, when the museums close and the daytrippers head home, the area becomes a quiet oasis of calm with a sophisticated and urbane tone.
