My husband and I stayed here in November, 2015 for our wedding anniversary. The manager/owner speaks several languages and was able to joyfully accommodate everyone I saw there. He made us feel welcome right away and answered all our questions, offering guidance for transportation. His wife made fabulous yogurt parfaits for breakfast. The breakfast offerings were vast! Whilst there, we...

Great service, great breakfast, perfect location, not just for Haarlem, but for your entire trip to the Netherlands. The city is so centrally base, it's worth considering as an alternative to Amsterdam, which is very nearby anyway. Staff are full of useful information and very flexible and friendly service at all times.

My wife and I spent four nights at the B & B Malts Hotel and would thoroughly recommend it. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is in a quiet location just a minute or so's walk from the main square in Haarlem, and about ten minutes' walk to and from the central station and about seven...

Just returned from a 2 night stay at Malts & everything was as perfect as on my previous visit, greeted like a long lost friend. The WiFi is the most easily connected & stable I have experienced in ANY hotel. Thanks again to Henk & Anne-Marie for another lovely stay. Thanks also to the lovely lady who was running breakfast...

For those seeking a more sedate alternative to bustling Amsterdam, Haarlem is an excellent choice. It is situated just about 15 minutes from Amsterdam's Central Station (trains are very frequent and run from very early morning until well after midnight). For those arriving at Schiphol the easiest way to the Malts is by the red R Net Bus that stops...

One of the best stays at a hotel my wife and I have had. Comfortable, spacious, and classy. Near the heart of beautiful Haarlem and owned and operated by Henk and Annemarie who are the perfect hosts. The perfect cup of coffee and fresh squeezed orange juice every morning was the the right way to start each day

Very friendly and informative greeting from the owners. Be aware though that this hotel is on a pedestrian street and closest vehicle access is about 20 metres from the front door because of a rising bollard system. The hotel is on the upper floors of the building and there is a steep staircase up to reception. No lift. But the...

Henk & Annemarie showed my wife and I the best Dutch hospitality that anyone could imagine during our 5 nights. We can't say enough about the care and accommodation at The Maltz but we'll try. From the first moment of arriving to our early departure Annemarie & Henk lived up to their professional spirit a Innkeepers. Our room was a...

We stayed at the B&B Hotel Maltz for two nights at the beginning of October. It was a very pleasant stay. Upon our arrival, Henk greeted us outside and gave us a map to the parking garage. He then made us coffee while he reviewed a map of Haarlem and gave us recommendations. This personal touch was very much appreciated....

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights; we wanted to stay outside of Amsterdam and save some money, and Haarlem is literally a 15 minute train ride away. I am so glad we chose B&B Malts. Henk and Annemarie (the owners), as well as their staff, were wonderful hosts - friendly, accommodating, and sociable. The facilities were spotlessly...
