Excellent, independent hotel in the town of IJmuiden. This hotel is a fabulous place to return to after a long working day. Always a warm welcome, the hotel has an excellent restaurant, cosy bar and comfortable rooms, all en suite and all quite unique. Thoroughly recommend this hotel and will definitely be returning.

After having spent an amazing week with our Dutch hosts we wanted to take them somewhere really special as a token of our appreciation for their hospitality. This restaurant did not disappoint. We were a party of 8 and all of us were very impressed with the standard of the food, the excellent service and the beautiful venue. We found...

Arrived here after being given assistance from a girl in the petrol station down the road. Time was about ten at night and we were running out of options for a bed for the night. I loved this hotel. Stepping through the door was like going back in time to an era where things were much better. We had a...

Lovely hotel, staff are very pleasant and nice. The food is excellent but could do with bigger portions for the cost, the cheapest main was veggie at 17 euros. Overall lovely atmosphere with great staff.

Surprising to find such a wonderful hotel in what appears to be a port area. The rooms very specious and furnished in a very electric manner. The bed very comfortable. The bar and restaurant had a great ambiance with great service and really good food.

This was no doubt one of the more interesting hotels I've stayed at. Easy to find but feeling like it was kind of in the middle of no where in terms of a city center area. The lady on reception was lovely and made us feel really welcome. The whole place had a bit of an oldy worldy feel. We...

This is a nice hotel, very friendly staff, especially the cleaning lady (nov 2105) with a bright smile on her face... breakfast is very nice, you choose from English or continental and then get served at you table so no 'open' breakfast but when you want something extra you just need to ask. The room (deluxe suite) was spacious with...

The public areas of the hotel are quite welcoming in an old-fashioned sort of way, however, the room was disappointing with virtually no electric outlets, a must in these days of gadgets. We did not try the restaurant as we had a previous arrangement for dinner, but it does have good reviews and looked nice. There was a friendly service...

This hotel has so much character. Excellent Restaurant have stayed here many times over the years and have always had superb meals. Staff always helpful and ready to carry your bags up the steep authentic stairs! Rooms always spotlessly clean.

I love this hotel, great Art Deco atmosphere, good breakfast and service. After this trip I have a new favorite room on top floor, suite nr31, worth every step you take up on the stairs, and they are many :-) I enjoyed lunch at the balkony with all the characteristic sounds of seaside.

“There is no lift, so the stairs could be an issue if infirm; all rooms are excellant, they only use room 1 if full, its smaller than the others, i stayed in room 19, its stylish and very tidy. All rooms are unique, tastfully furnished and VERY SMARTLY APPOINTED”
