My husband and I stayed at the hotel for 13 nights and we could not have chosen better. Room 27 was delightful with pressed ceiling and very neat and clean. Bed very comfortable and heating excellent. Breakfast was superb and the staff members were really informative and kind. Laundry was done for us for a small fee and it was...

This is a delightful hotel. Our room was well furnished, with a very comfortable bed, and we were upgraded to a Comfort Room which included various extras such as coffee making facilities. The room had a balcony, though I can’t imagine why anyone would want to sit out to view the apartment blocks across the road. The bathroom contained a...

We had the family room with four beds, there is not so much space - practically just beds and bathroom, this didn't bother us, because we were in the hotel just to sleep and shower. Good breakfast! Hotel Walsum a good and practical choice for a city trip. We would book this hotel again!

We had a room on the ground floor. And that room was dirty! The wallpaper was peeling of the walls, there were cracks in the walls, traces of moisture damaging and there was a calendar hanging up in a suspicious location, behind it: another crack in the wall! Also they had these old flower curtains, like the ones my great...

I picked this hotel because of the price and location. My other choice was near the train station. I had a single room which was very comfortable and well-equipped, even had a small fridge and safe. The breakfast had many choices including bacon and eggs, many breads, cheeses, cereal, yogurt.... The staff was always very helpful. The tram was right...

van Walsum turned out to be a basic hotel good for an overnight stay. 10 minutes walk from the central railway station makes the hotel's location rather convenient for those who need to have easy access to train station. Only one front desk manager is working during the night, thus you may have to wait several minutes before he or...

Recently stayed at this hotel on my own for 3 days, and from the photos is looked great and well priced, sadly the room i was given had not seen much of an update from the 60s! The shower was in the bedroom, as well as the sink, with a separate toilet. The TV and decor was incredibly dated and...

Had a small room at the back of the hotel but it was very quiet and comfortable. The hotel was verity clean and well situated - about 15 minutes from the central station and 10 minutes from the museum area. The breakfast buffet was good - well stocked - offering hot and cold items. The coffee machine gave great coffee...

I have stayed (BB) 5 nights in it, and all I can say are good things; cool, friendly, clean, well situated, etc. I was attending Europort 2015 last week and all was fine with the hotel. In summary Van walsum is my "official" residence when I travel to Rotterdam.
