Right in the city center; Ideal sleepover after an evening with friends. Plenty of good bars and restaurants at walking distance, in the middle between the central station and the cathedral. There is a nice small boutique shoppingcenter near the hotel as well. Friendly bartender and helpful staff. Interior a little dated, but ok and worth its money.

This is an honest hotel close to the centre of Antwerp. Nothing exceptional, but the rooms are large and you can get a good night sleep for a fair price. Breakfast is Ok, staff is helpful. Major drawbacks? Well, it feels "old" and dark (they could surely do with some better lighting, especially in the rooms.

Staff were helpful, the room a nice size and well equipped (don't assume that any crisps left by the kettle are courtesy rather than mini-bar). The location if good- 1/2 an hour's walk will get you to the city centre or the station, 10 minutes gets you to the Rubens house and a good ranger of eateries. Well flinched at... More

The Alfa Theater Hotel is my home away from home. The staff are on the whole friendly and helpful. Just engage the staff in conversation and I am sure you will be surprised at their warmth and friendliness. I arrived with no luggage due to the airlines loosing it and the staff did their best to loan me whatever I... More

I have to search long and hard to remeber the last time I had a similar poor expeience at the restaurant. The service was poor, for a group of 7 it took 3.5 hours to have dinner, at the restaurant there were 2 other people at the time. the order got mixed up and we got blamed, the waiter did... More

We stayed just one night but enjoyed our stay. It was conveniently located near our destination (Kulminator Bar.) The rooms were very clean and spacious. Bathrooms were nice. Parking was around the corner in a public lot, but worked fine. Would stay again if in the area.

The good: 1. The hotel is at a convenient location close to the Schouwburg (and "vogeltjesmarkt" on Sunday), the Rubenshuis and the main shopping street. Several restaurants and bars also close by. 2. Parking garage is directly linked to the hotel. Be careful if you leave on Sunday as the garage is closed until 3-ish. The receptionist did mention this... More

This hotel is a convenient base for Antwerp. We found it easily, and the parking adjoining the hotel is handy- unless you are checking out on a Sunday, when you can't leave until Parking d'Arenburg re-opens at about 15:30. Other, cheaper parking is available quite close by. The rooms are large and, on first sight, stylish. This made a good... More

but the make you pay 5 euro extra for the wi-fi internet access and when you tell them that this is kind of strange for a hotel of this category they answer that in other hotels of their category it usually costs 20 euro. which, of course, is totally absurd.
