This is what I would expect from an EXCELLENT 2** hotel. It reminded me of what hotels in Europe used to be like -- small, family run, good service, tasty breakfast, and then add a great location and wi-fi and this place is better than most 3*** hotels. While many reviewers have warned that the area from Gare du Midi...

Arrived in Brussels with my boyfriend after a v. quick journey from St. Pancras at the South Midi station. I was advised by a local on the train to take a taxi to the hotel instead of walking, as the area surrounding the station is rather dodgy, however we were told by an extremely helpful driver that the hotel was...

I booked the Hotel A La Grande Cloche via Priceline, and some of the reviews here gave me a little pause. But I needn't have had any ... It was a fine hotel in a very good location near the central square in Brussels. Very clean, very nice accomodations. Extremely friendly and helpful desk-clerks who, first, endured my horrible attempt...

Perfect location to tour Brussels. We were able to walk to all the main areas. The hotel had an elevator which is always a plus if you have luggage. Nice view from our room and it was great sleeping with the windows open. Parking was free. Breakfast was plentyful with a good varity of choices. We enjoyed the pub across...

This hotel is an easy 10-minute walk to La Grande Place, the wonderful central square in Brussels. The room was extremely clean although a little worn. In our room, we had a sink and shower (spotless!) and shared the hall toilet, different but not a big inconvenience. The price was wonderful and we had a nice view of the square...

I had a night in Brussels due to some awkwardly-timed train connections, and the Grande Cloche seemed the best option by far. The hotel is roughly 10-15 minutes by foot (with bags) from the Midi\Zuid station, although the signs for Avenue Stalingrad aren't very clear at the start of the walk. Once you've arrived, you're about 10 minutes at a...

We stayed here for 6 nights and found it to be a great bargain. We were on the top floor and had great view accros the square. We also had a huge bathroom! Everything was in walking distance so we only used the public transport to get to the hotel which was easy with a metro station about a 2...

this is a nice hotel; staff is friendly, location is good, area is nice. the only problem was that our room had no toilet. it had a shower and a sink but no toilet. i had never seen that before. We only stayed one night so it wasn't too much of a bother. had we stayed longer i think it...

As a regular self employed visitor to Brussels, I have stayed in most of the so called budget hotels and can say, without hesitation, that in my opinion this is the best. Rooms are clean and neat, beds comfortable, bathrooms and showers are excellent, as are the breakfast and all the staff, including the lovely breakfast ladies.
