The Best Western Royal Centre is a reasonable hotel. It is most certainly not a 4 star hotel in any way though. (Except for their tariffs - it has the most expensive mini bar we have seen for a while) Rather surly staff but polite enough. If you do want breakfast then get down early as they will run out... I stayed in this hotel in February 2010 for 4 nights. The hotel is in good location, 15 minutes walk from Grand Place, 10 minutes from Gare Centrale (train-station), and about 5 minutes from 2 metro stations- Madou and Botanique. There is a Column of Congress nearby (3 minutes). I came to Brussels for the training of European Commission, and... More

The hotel was conveniently placed just 10 minutes walk from the Grand Place and Royal Palace. Main line and Metro stations just a short walk away. The hotel was very clean, staff very helpful and friendly, making our short break very relaxing and enjoyable. The buffet breakfast had a very large selection of hot and cold food and was replenished... More

This is a great hotel with all modern amenities. The location, only about 15 minutes walking from the Grande Place and all the action, is in the middle of nothing - no restaurant, no people in the streets - very strange. Just the tomb of the unknown soldier is nearby. You have to pay to use the computer which I... More

I stayed here with my boyfriend in October 2008. We really enjoyed our say here, the staff were friendly and extremely helpful, the breakfast was basic but delicious and plentiful and the location was perfect. It was about a five minute walk to the main place in Brussels. I definitely would not say it is a four star hotel, more... More

The hotel is not far from a tram stop or the tube network in Brussels. That said, it's not in the beating heart of the city either. Good for a base, but not much else. The photographs provided on the website make it look better than it is. Rooms are generally clean, but small and appointed in a basic fashion.... More

Two colleagues and I stayed for three nights at the Best Western Hotel Royal Centre for business. It was okay - clean with a comfortable bed - but there were several niggles. The rooms were noisy. The hotel is on a main road and traffic noises start early in the morning. We were not even overlooking the main street, but... More

I stayed for two nights in September in a double room, single occupation. Very average hotel, not so elegant as shown in the pictures. Clean, moderate sized rooms. Complete bathroom. Nothing fancy. Disappointing breakfast. Definitely no more than 3 stars. Parking costs 25 euro's a night. About 15 minutes walking distance from the heart of the city. This hotel is... More

Good hotel, although not so elegant as in the photos. It's 2 minutes walk from the Madou metro station and the European Commission office buildings, so it's fine for the business traveller. The hotel is a normal 3 star hotel, clean, moderate sized rooms, but nothing fancy. I wondered that there was no swedish table at the breakfast, so you... More
