Friendly and welcome Clean and tidy stairs to bedroom in house a bit steep for some . breakfast good. Really good sleep stayed 2 nights. Lovely host. Would stay again Trip Advisor wants more words, so these are to fill up the space....
The room was fine without being special. The house is nicely surrounded by nature. The breakfast is fine but the space is indeed super small! The landlady is very (all the time) "present"... with many stories (from the animals in the garden till village "personages"). If you are the kind of guest which preference goes to "here is the key... have a nice stay... see you at check out" than this is definitely not your place to stay!!! All in one... rather high price/quality!
Allthough we had telephoned and explained our early arrival, we were welcomed with 'your too soon'. By entering the room we felt a bit claustrophobic. It was obviously a room divided in two by a prefab-wall, so the 'room' was a corridor, the bed being under the sloping wall. Moreover the bed had a hard uncomfortable mattress. The breakfast was very fine, but again for us in a small room at a small table, so again claustrofobic. And all that for a price of 110 euros, too much we thought, we would have ranked it at a price of 80 euros. And why we as Belgians have to pay 5 euro taks for the city?? Rather strange.
Only 10 minutes from Hasselt, a shopping city and nearby Plopsa Indoor for the children, we were warmly welcomed by Agnes, the lady of the house. Our room was magnificient and the outdoors as well. Agnes made us a wonderful breakfast: fresh orange juice, cheese, eggs... She talked about the surroundings and things to visit, gave us a tour on her yard. For sure we are going back but next time we will stay longer to enjoy even more!
