On the outside you would not immediately expect a top B&B: spacious and nice rooms, nice garden with swimming pool and very friendly hostess Mieke. Excellent breakfast and practical location. This place deserves a 5 star rating!

When I first saw the location of the property, I was a bit disappointed. I had wanted to be in the center of Hasselt and BandB Maris is in a quiet suburban neighborhood 3 km from town. But upon entering this incredible property, I promptly changed my mind. Hostess Mieke showed me to my spacious, luxurious and quiet room and I was amazed. Ample bathroom, Queen bed, immaculate room. Breakfast included bread, cereal, peanut butter all homemade by Mieke. Eggs and bacon were served to order - again the eggs were from her chickens. Beer and wine on the honor system. The property was formerly a dentist office and residence and all rooms seemed large. One of the most restful places that I have ever stayed in. Did I mention that my room was cleaned while I ate breakfast? Did I say 5 stars? Make it 6!…

The owners are very friendly and helpful. They give a lot of information of the area and things that can be done. Also you find a lot of information in the free maps, books that you can take about places to visit in Hasselt. Breakfast is delicious, with a lot of homemade things , fresh fruit, eggs cooked to order. Rooms are spacious and clean.

Located in a residential area (so very quiet), this B&B is great. Literally nothing to improve on. Parking in front, nice rooms, comfy bed, lots of hot water (it does take a few minutes to heat up, so just let it run, and it will get hot). WIFI worked very well. Breakfast was outstanding...homemade granola, eggs cooked to order, fresh fruit, croissants, fresh juices. I would definitely stay again if in the area.

Don't look to stay anywhere else if you're visiting Hasselt, this B&B is perfect and beats any hotel. A little out of town in a lovely superb but on a bus route and only €12 into town by taxi. The owners couldn't have been more welcoming and the property is beautifully decorated. The bedroom was huge with a good shower room and even a better bed. Never slept so well, away from home. The breakfast was equally outstanding with beautiful breads, an array of home made jams and the customary cheese and hams. Perfect in every way !!

We stayed here overnight on our way to Italy. We were made very welcome by Mieke on arrival. Our room was at the back of the house which is full of character, with a staircase and doors from an old abbey. There is an interesting selection of art on the walls including a selection of abstract nudes. The room was elegantly decorated in shades of grey. There was a Rombouts coffee machine and supplies of tea and coffee available as well as Spa mineral water. The toiletries supplied in the lovely shower room were good and every thought has been given to making the place very suitable for their guests. There is free wifi. The breakfast is a comprehensive continental one with cheeses, cold meats, beautifully fresh pastries freshly cooked in their bread oven and a wide selection of mainly home-made preserves and honey from a family friend's bees. No marmalade though! The only slight negative is that the lighting in our room could have been brighter for old eyes! We needed to move our comfy chairs close to the bedside light to read easily. It seems to be a very safe area and leaving the car outside on their frontage wasn't a problem. If you want cheap eats, there is a Carrefour Resto restaurant nearby or Mieke will recommend one.…

My husband and I were on a driving tour of Belgium, and picked Hasselt to spend the night, and just happened upon Maris Logies bed and breakfast- what a treat! We could not have been more pleased with the darling home, warm greeting, and comfort we received while staying there! The couple who own it were so sweet, friendly and helpful. Our room was big and spacious, and the bathroom was updated very nicely. In the morning we enjoyed a lovely walk on a nearby walking path, and then came back to a wonderful breakfast! We would highly recommend this B&B, and plan to go back on our next trip to Belguim!

Our team (Great Britain Cycling Team) stayed with Mieke and Bert at their lovely B&B recently, for our annual World Championships event. Our stay at Maris Logies was without doubt the best accommodation we’ve experienced in all our years of travelling and attending events all around the World. Our stay was 10 out of 10 due to both the beautiful accommodation (and breakfasts), and even more importantly how fantastic Mieke and Bert were as hosts! We were made to feel extremely welcome in every regard. The accommodation and the atmosphere really felt just like a home away from home. I would without doubt recommend Maris Logies to any traveller visiting this region. Without exaggeration this is definitely the best accommodation experience I’ve had in my 20+ years of International travel. Many thanks Mieke and Bert, and we hope to see you again one day soon!…

We recently spent 4 nights here at this lovely B&B in Hasselt! First class furnishings and up to date in every way. Breakfast was fabulous and the hosts went out of the way to make sure we got what we wished. They recommended some really nice restaurants in the area that didn't break the bank. They had a lovely back yard were you could grab a nice Belgium beer from their fridge to enjoy while relaxing. Perfect in every way! Thank you so much for your warm hospitality.
