Lovely hotel situated above their own restaurant and bar. The hotel is located south of the town and is on the edge of the pedestrianised area. It is a 2-minute walk to a square near the cathedral and a few mins more to other landmarks, bars and restaurants. We had 2 x rooms (doubles), which were plenty big enough and had good modern facilities. The only issue we had was the lack of a lift from the check-in area, although I think there is another lift you can use within the restaurant. The restaurant and bar areas are large, both inside and out with a wide and varied food & drinks menu. Breakfast was a basic continental option, but enough for what we needed. Hasselt is a lovely place to stay. We had a great time.
This is a cozy hotel with no elevator being an extension to a famous restaurant with the same name. The rooms are nice and does the jobs greatly for few days in central Hasselt. The location is very central and on the main vain street of Hasselt. Breakfast was mediocre. Pros: - Affordable prices - Unbeatable central location for shopping in Hasselt. - Well furnished and clean rooms - Super comfortable beds. - The staff are smiley and helpful - The provide you with shower amenities & water. Also, some Mentos. Cons: - No elevator. Its a 4 floors building. So if you have heavy luggage or you have limited mobility, its a major issue. - Their is no reception staff. They are the restaurant waiters and you have to wait for someone to come to help at the desk. - Very strict with their check in policy, always after 12 pm. - The door key kept having issues. So i always had to come from 3rd floor down to solve it, using stairs of course. Nonetheless, I absolutely recommend this hotel for a couple of nights in Hasselt.…
The hotel was perfect for me. The room was clean and comfortable with everything you needed, and it was a nice touch that they gave you a bottle of water and mints each night. The location was excellent - close to the station and just down the road from the Grote Markt, but the room was quiet. The breakfast wasn't the best I've had, but was perfectly adequate. If ever I went back to Hasselt I would definitely stay there again. (My room was on the fourth floor and there was no lift, so if you had mobility issues that would be worth bearing in mind.)
I’ve tried them all in Hasselt . This place is the best . Avoid like many places at Friday / Saturday night peak times . This place gets rammed even lunch times . Recommend the lamp chops , Greek salad to start
The Century is a nice and small hotel - good place to start your exploration of Hasselt city. The room was perfect and clean, with comfortable beds and sufficient space to store your stuff. We only lacked tea- and coffee facilities in the room. For a hotel without elevator (!) one should expect an more spontaneous offer by the receptionist to carry your luggage up the narrow steps to the 2d floor....The reception of the hotel is nothing more but a tiny corner in the hallway, so don't expect a lobby. Next doors you find a good restaurant and bar.
A quite and friendly small hotel in the center of Hasselt. A beautiful Belgian city. A very good quality price choice. They also have a nice staff. The restaurant is very good. For who likes to drink, don't forget to visit the bar.
Good hotel to crash. The hotel does not have lift so if you have mobility problems don't book here. The hotel is attached to a nice restaurant which is plus. The breakfast menu is limited but ok. Hotel is clean and sleep quality is good.
Nice and cosy room, very clean. Staff was very friendly and the atmosphere outside was very good . Only problem might be the narrow steps up to the rooms. Not wheelchair friendly. Stayed over only one night on the 11th of June. Recommended to stay over if you want to be close to the city centre, the nightlife (well, if there is some nightlife, I guess this is as close you can come) and enjoy a good bottle of white wine with oysters. enjoy it!
Great location, very fine rooms, basic but fresh breakfast, fantastic staff! We had lunch and dinner in the restaurant and we really enjoyed it! We travelled with our family and they gave us rooms next to each other which was very pleasant. The next time we visit Hasselt, we will be staying at The Century again!
