It's a youth hostel, so I didn't expect anything more than basic. However, the warmth of the people of this hostel made my experience a whole lot better than basic. Where they can, they help. The breakfast had quite a variety. Also fresh fruit and a great cappuccino! I received a lot of tips to visit Hasselt. The room was very neat and -although the hostel is next to the train station- quiet. Very practical room and a fairly spacious bathroom. Thanks guys-see you again next year!
Clean, quit surrounding, only few hundred meters from train station, nice little bar bar with many good sorts of local beer, nice lobby with Wifi, TV etc. Very friendly staff and nice surrounding. Only 15 min. by feet from City.
Very kindly people, very good and clean room, accomodation fantastic. I was here for a couple of months for specific reasons. I have to admit you can't get better. If you want a maximum experience of staying in the best circumstances in Hasselt, this is the best place to be.
This is a hostel in Hasselt that is located very close to the near station, which is its best thing. The staff are very lovely and they speak English properly. The room does the job for a proper accommodation for few days (always book the double room with ensuite bathroom and shower). The breakfast was very basic aka. boring but its OK. Pros: - Close to the train and bus station (De Lijn) to go anywhere (4 minutes walking). - Affordable prices for double room and great free wifi all over the hostel. - The staff are helpful and speak fluent English - The room is clean though basic and opens with an electronic magnetic card. - The lights and power in the room are activated when the magnetic key is in place. - Elevator inside the hostel & non smoking rooms - Closet and with keys to secure your stuff - Nice lounge area and breakfast area downside looking the train station - Though near train station, but you won't hear anything inside the rooms. Cons: - The breakfast was limited and boring, though OK. - No toiletries in the bathroom, only toilet papers provided. - No Towels. - No grocery store near, you have to walk a bit. - The pillows are very thin. Great option when staying in Hasselt for few days as a solo or a couple.…
Good place to stay at. Very near the train station. Breakfast was ok, but no good coffee and boring bread. No vegetables but fruit. Take towels, pillow (it is very bad), hooks and hangers with you. Friendly staff!
Fit for purpose. No worries. We had a late check in, and the reception alerted us over the phone for the closure of the reception. This was very welcoming. My daughter liked the spacey bathroom. Breakfast was good for money. Might consider the place for biz travel.
Quite convenient hostel, just one minute from Hasselt Station, spacious rooms, both private and shared. Good facilities with shared kitchen. The best part was the staff, quite helpful and kind. The breakfast was quite basic.
When we arrived we had a friendly and welcoming reception. The building was modern and clean, so was the room. Breakfast was alright and there was a wide choice. There was even alpro soja. The concierge was very friendly and always in for a talk. The location was great. Although it was near the station, you couldn't hear the trains. The city center was a 5 min walk.
The hostel were very basic as it was meant for youth hostel. It was clean though. No toilet amenities but you can buy it downstairs. Wifi works perfect. The breakfast is quite descent. One major advantage is the location which is on the opposite of the station. Close to the city centre and bus terminal.
The hostel is located very close to the city center, but without the nuisance a city center location causes. A stone's throw away from the main bus/railway station in the city. It's a hostel, so there's no need to have expectations of a hotel towards it. However it is a very nice hostel. It's modern, clean, eco-friendly with staff speaking good English, breakfast included in the already cheapest rate in the city. The only complaint is the fact that there is no option of changing the temperature in the room, so it may get cold to the point where you will need to wear a thick sweater and you may get cold in the night. The beds are also not the best. Would totally recommend it for budget travellers, especially students. Great for short stays, but not really recommended for long periods.…
