Pillows Grand Boutique Hotel Reylof garners praise for its sophisticated decor and warm ambiance. Many guests appreciate the luxurious amenities, including the spa and dining options, as well as the hotel's immaculate cleanliness. Its location is celebrated for blending tranquility with easy access to central attractions.
While the hotel is considered to offer good value, some find certain items overpriced. The service is generally regarded as top-notch despite occasional lapses, and the rooms are commended for their modernity and comfort, aside from a few minor quibbles.

On a business trip I had the chance to be invited to a seminar in this hotel to spend one night. The hotel is beautifully located very well in relation to the center of Ghent even if it is a little far from the train station (accessible by tram). The staff is very helpful and helpful. Everyone greets you, including the cleaning lady I met in the morning when the room was vacated; a detail I appreciate. However, I would have liked the receptionist to speak to me in French. In an establishment of this quality especially located in Belgium (even if I am in the Flemish province) it remains for me a foregone conclusion and remains a basic of the 1st relationship with the customer. The room is large, well arranged, well equipped, quality cosmetic products. Nothing missing. A small gift to enjoy on arrival marks the luxury touch of this establishment. However, the price of drinks and snacks available in the room is exorbitant. Too bad because if the products were cheaper we could be tempted by the quality of the products offered. Breakfast is exceptional in quality and quantity. For our seminar we were able to enjoy a quality buffet and pastries and other delicious cakes available in our meeting room. A beautiful establishment in which I could return with my family to discover Ghent and its region and enjoy even more this establishment: restaurant, swimming pool etc....

The hotel is within walking distance of the historic center of Ghent. From the moment you arrive you really feel like a guest and pampered. The reception employee takes the time to explain everything and show you around. Everything looks nice and clean. When you enter your room, the lights have already been turned on for you, which gives you a welcome feeling. The small gifts on the table, with a welcome card, and next to the bed are also nice. The wellness is nicely set up and clean. Bottled water, slippers and bathrobes are available for guests. We felt very spoiled.

Everything was really perfect, from the time of check-in to check-out. On arrival we were warmly received and everything was well arranged, which made us feel immediately at ease. The staff were friendly and helpful, and were always ready to help us with any questions or requests.
In addition, I would like to mention the breakfast especially, because that was without a doubt one of the best hotel breakfasts I have ever experienced. The quality and variety of dishes were impressive. There was a wide choice of fresh produce, including delicious bread, croissants, and other pastries. The selection of fruit, yogurt, and cereals was extensive, and there was even a possibility to have hot dishes prepared à la minute.
The presentation of the breakfast was also excellent; everything was always neatly supplemented and the buffet always looked inviting. The atmosphere in the breakfast room was pleasant and relaxed, which gave a great start to the day.
Overall, the stay was taken care of to perfection, and I look forward to definitely coming back here again. Highly recommended!

Very disappointing. My wife and I visited Gent for the weekend from the UK. The hotel itself is very nice, however the staff are young and inexperienced. Our room We booked a Luxury Grand Room for 2 nights including breakfast. Our room developed a water leak from the ceiling through a light in the bathroom which then moved to a light in the lounge and water was dripping on the floor. The water was not clean, it was light brown in colour. We reported the issue to the reception who said there was a water leak previously in our room. We were offered a smaller room which we declined, after much persistence we were offered a suite. During the whole process of complaining to multiple members of staff, packing and unpacking was eating into our limited time in Gent. Breakfast We asked for a tea and coffee to be told to make the tea yourself, coffee would be made for you, not what we expected in a high end hotel. There was a variety of hot and cold items on the breakfast buffet, however the hot items were just luke warm, not what you expect at €35 per person. General We asked the receptionist to make 2 dinner reservations but never received any update. Each time we visited the reception and asked about our dinner reservations the member of staff was unaware of our request so we started from scratch which was painful. Summary The hotel is nice but is let down by the staff who are not adequately trained in customer service which is a shame.

I have just returned from a 4 night stay at Pillows Grand Boutique and cannot fault my stay at this wonderful hotel.
I emailed the hotel prior to my stay with a few questions regarding the transport system and received prompt replies each time.
This was a solo trip for me to rest and recharge and do things at my own pace and Pillows was the perfect choice of hotel. I was given the opportunity to upgrade to a ground floor room at a very reasonable price as I am not very good with lifts (I have a problem with my knee currently so am also restricted with stairs). The room was beautiful, the bed extremely comfortable and I had my own small patio area to sit outside and enjoy the sunshine.
The staff here are a credit to the hotel and I was very well looked after by the reception staff and the lovely ladies in the restaurant and bar. I ended up eating in the hotel on three nights and the food was very good indeed. The Dover Sole was so good I had it on two nights!
The hotel is perfectly situated and less than a 10 minute walk to the river where you can easily take a guided historical boat tour and appreciate the beauty of Ghent from the water.
Ghent is an ideal base as it is also easy to take the train to both Bruges and Antwerp for a day trip. I also took the number 11 bus to Blaarmeersen, a sports and recreation park with a man made beach and was able to go swimming and relax in the sunshine. If you are not a Ghent resident you can prebook entry for one euro, a bargain day out.
The Ghent festival had just finished when I arrived and quite a few restaurants were closed. I was aware of this when I booked (possibly why discounted prices were on offer for the hotel). It did not spoil my visit at all, in fact it probably enhanced it as it was less busy but there were still plenty of things to see and do.
I would highly recommend this hotel and in my opinion think it Is more of a 5 star hotel than a 4 star. I have already recommended it to family and friends and would not hesitate to stay here again if I am lucky enough to return to Ghent.

I stayed at Pillows as I was attending a business conference in Ghent, and it genuinely is the perfect hotel for a business traveler (and probably similarly for leisure).
Ahead of checking in, I received an email asking if I had any requests. Given many hotels in Europe don't seem to have ironing boards as standard in each room, I requested one so I could press my clothes. This request was honored and there was an iron in my room when I arrived.
Check-in itself was genuinely friendly and helpful. The hotel has lovely decor throughout. The lobby is relaxed and chic and there are a multitude of areas to sit and do work if needed.
The room was very nice, with a balcony, and everything that's needed for a business trip including safe, full length mirror, and a wide range of toiletries.
The rooms have decent soundproofing. My only slight detraction was the lighting which was quite dark.
The hotel bistro is very impressive with impeccable service and amazing food. Another positive is the wide range of non-alcoholic beverages which is a great option when traveling for business.
The location is quite good, it's a few hundred metres from the town square, which makes it a little less hectic, but easy to access the sights.
There were bikes available in the hotel for use, and a spa which unfortunately I did not have time to visit.
On checkout the reception desk took the time to review my bill in detail and ensure it was correct. And immediately sent through the invoice. The service overall is natural, friendly and attentive.
One of the best business hotel stays I have had.

The hotel is in a very central location a few steps from the attractions of the city centre. Very nice inside with well furnished rooms. Room corresponding to expectations; so why a rating of 3 out of 5? Quickly said; staff not at all helpful, rather unsympathetic; unacceptable for a hotel of this level is the fact that we had to carry our suitcases to the room by ourselves, sliding the wheels with difficulty on long carpeted corridors. Not to mention the à la carte breakfast where we were asked for 19 euros for a coffee, a cappuccino and 2 croissants! To be honest, after having pointed it out twice, at the time of check out the aforementioned breakfast was charged to me at 50%

Hotel more than met our expectations. The entourage is beautiful, the location perfect and the room luxurious and well soundproofed. However, for the price paid you can be critical and we are. Reception and explanation arrival reception fine and friendly; what you can expect from a 5-star hotel. On departure, however, this is certainly not the case! On the remark that we were sorry that our room was not done on day two we hardly get a response. This also applies if we notice an error in the invoice; breakfast counted twice. We do not find such arrogance and disinterested behavior in such a place. Parking costs 45 euros per 24 hours, which is very expensive. Breakfast at 34 euros p.p. delicious and complete. Products on the buffet are of high quality. Coffee maker is a bit awkward in a closet in the hallway in the room. Very nice balcony, very comfortable bed with blissful pillows. Fine TV with a chromecast. Luxurious bathroom with only (rain) shower.

I have been several times to Pillows in Ghent for work and I love this hotel! This time I had an even greater experience as I have been upgraded to a suite, so I decided to write a review 🙂 Pillows is beautifully decorated, with all the comfort you can wish for and the most professional staff ever. Ghent city center is just a few minutes walk away and you can park your car either at the hotel itself (expensive) or in the very close Ramen parking, much cheaper; train stationis also not far. Breakfast is just amazing. The swimming pool is small but very relaxing; sauna is also very nice. There is absolutely nothing I can think of for improvement, and I am looking forward for my next visit!

Dear Sir, Madam,
Thank you for your interest in the Pillows Grand Hotel Reylof.
In the whole hotel all rooms have been renovated a little over a year ago the same style, so no difference there. If you would book a room with balcony this would be in the new part since the rooms in the old part do not have these rooms.
Both parts are built around the courtyard garden and are interconnected by the hallways except the 1st floor where you can go through the garden. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you need any additional information.
Sincerely,
Anna, Manager
