The rooms are dirty and the furniture is many years old. Including the bedding. We found various types of insects in the rooms as well as stains on the bathroom floor, bed linen, and curtains. We found a flattened spider under our bed covers!!! The receptionist is rude and appears incompetent as she constantly mixed up the names of room...

The Location is excellent: inside the old town. We called the hotel directly to reserve. Attentive and wonderful service on the phone. She pleasantly told us our room was once the virgins' chambers. When we arrive, service was again super friendly. The room, #5 on the 1st floor, had lots of old charm, and spacious. We needed something and again...

The hotel is situated in an old monastery but it is too big to have much atmosphere. The staff is friendly and helpful. The bed in the single room was comfortable but the rest of the furniture rather rickety. There is no way that I could get €17.50 value out of any breakfast, so I skipped that.

We really enjoyed our stay in Gent in these old walls. Very simple rooms but clean and fitting the style. Its quite huge with a lot of rooms and you can book events there as well. So its not very personal. We stayed in the "Rector's house" which is a side-wing from the monastery. The only point I have to...

The novelty soon wears off......yes, it's an old monastry and it acts like it. The whole place is just scruffy and not that clean. The bathroom looked as if it had been cleaned evry day in just 5 minutes- surfaces still covered in dust and grime. There are very few staff- those that are around are friendly but nit productive...

This hotel occupies a former convent. There's a gorgeous neo-Gothic chapel, but my budget single room didn't have much character. Because it is old, it didn't look that clean (not that it was dirty; the floor just looked like it would stay dingy no matter how much cleanser you applied). On the plus side, there was a gleaming bathrobe &...

One of those hotels that it's great to visit, because it's so different. Wonderful building, dining room was amazing, but because it was so warm, breakfast was served In the garden, which was great too. Nearly gave it 5 stars, but breakfast, while very good and generous was very expensive at €17.50 each. Room was spacious but in keeping with...

The stay in medieval cloister sounded better than it really was. Our room was in one of the newer buildings (not in the old cloister) at the thirds floor. There were no elevator, only stairs that was quite hard with the luggages... The room itself was spacious and clean. There was a possibility to make tea or coffee. The heating...

Good location,10 minutes walking to Korenmarkt. Tiny rooms.Clean. Unusual, interesting look as long as it is a former monastery(at least that's what they pretend). Free WiFi,free tea and cofee. Not expensive.
